late kick off
Hello. I'm the new producer of Late Kick Off, the Football League show for the Midlands which returns in January. I'm keen to hear from Derby fans on the issues you'd like us to feature and when the show returns, what you think of what you see. JoetheRam
Don't have Manish. Don't have Claridge. Don't make the set look like that of Crimewatch as has been done with TFLS. Don't talk about things you've seen on twitter. Don't have the presenter constantly referring to his Ipad. Don't make all the teams sound like they are tinpot sunday league sides. Don't get fans to e-mail/text/tweet/call the show, because I don't care that Barry from Lichfield thinks that Burton Albion would improve if they signed Fernando Torres. Two presenters every week, and one or two roving reporters to discuss issues which affect all teams - EPPP, over commercialisation of the game, hyper inflation of players wages etc.
trekkie_ram
Is this also with Manish & Claridge, token black guy and scruffy ex-footballer? Could be worse I suppose, Stan Collymore, Andy Townsend or token female.
Gaspode
off the top of me head:no savage, claridge, or that 'jolly' pillock from the football league showF**rest to (only) be referred to as 'the red dogs' or the 'red scum'Leicester to (only) be referred to as 'the blue scum'L**ds to (only) be referred to as "the dirties"never (ever, Ever, EVER, EVER!!!!) call us 'county' - we are "Derby", "the Rams" or occasionally "The Mighty Rams" (but only after a particularly good performance, so once every 3-4 years)every week, a compulsory mention that we get bigger crowds than Forest (and if you can squeeze in the fact that we beat them with only 10 men that would also be excellent!) those will do for now, but I'm sure a few other ideas will spring to mind..... inglorious02
Just add the Championship and the Football League to Match of the Day so that Linekar et al have to comment on it. About time we had equal billing and publicity with the Premier League. After all, the majority of clubs and fans in this country exist outside of the prem anyway. Hucknall Ram
I hate to say it, but most you are talking about the wrong show, it's "late kick off", a show thats like the football league show but for the midlands, However I do agree with in what you say about it. I don't know if that comment was tongue-in-cheek, but I wouldn't want that, and I can't see it being that popular a decision. I Sky+ MotD to watch the big games, and I Sky+ TFLS purely to watch Derby. I wouldn't want to sift through Blackburn vs Wigan/Fulham/Stoke/Norwich/Swansea to find Derby. Five of the six comments above yours clearly aren't talking about TFLS, two reference TFLS as a comparison. I did a quick google, that suggested that Manish was host, so enlighten me, who is host/co-host? Ambitious
LKO got really boring and tedious, you could smell the poor research and tackiness from a mile off! I think it should be in the same line as MOTD2 which is enjoyable, seeing as it's only the midlands you could do more upon the teams in the area and I would much prefer if they just got 2 people off the street, rather than 2 ex footballers because most of them speak absolute pudding! I remember taping that Late Kick Off a few times using the local BBC channels on Sky, I couldn't remember the name of the program and tried to find it a few times. It seems strange that it isn't on until January.
SSD
Please just replace Manish and get some proper analysis from actual supporters from the midlands 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />

VulcanRam
Hello Duncan, I bet you're really glad you asked, eh? I wonder if you got this much bile from supporters of other clubs or have some actually offered something contructive?
ladyram
As this programme is for the Midlands, then at least DCFC will get more airtime than the token 5 seconds on TFLS. A completely different set - great idea, maybe display the local teams more prominently than an etched image on a transparent background screen. A different style of presenters - great idea. I don't like Mannish and like Claridge even less. Ordinary blokes with a sound knowledge of their particular team, sat on comfy sofas would be good, a bit like Baddiel and Skinner used to do. Casual jeans and t shirts too, make it less formal. Good, healthy banter, with opinions from the ordinary fan in the street, with more emphasis on what clubs do behind the scenes to help in society, ie, DCITC, these services can often go under the radar sometimes. I don't think a bit of publicity would hurt and could apply to any club within the Midlands. I'll watch it - but please don't copy others formats, it would just make it same old, same old. rezner
I like the idea of a more casual look, have a bit of fun with the set.Don't take the thing too serious, however show more than 1 minutes highlights per game. Not just the goals.(don't know how long the shows on for). ladyram
Maybe have the set decorated with great pics of a particular teams all time favourite players? Maybe invite them said players in for a chat too?

derbydan
just get rid of that bald idiot clem that likes to talk more about the pies on the concourse & other such tedious topics rather than the things we wan't to hear about ie whats about to happen on the pitch / actual running of the club
