LostThatLovingFeeling!
As you lot are always banging on about attendance... I just found out we have the EXACT same average attendance this season. Literally, you've brought ONE extra fan this season. Much poorer away following from your lot too. Red_Dawn
Do you think Siri on the 4S not working as advertised had an adverse effect on season ticket numbers? Nobody outside out of Derbyshire supports Derby, bar a few exceptions. We have a much wider pull due to our European successes and I imagine a general love for what Cloughy achieved punching above our weight as an underdog. That's why our away attendance is always far better. I'd suggest our home attendance would also be if they didn't give away free tickets to every home game. I highly doubt there are massive groups of forest fans in every village town and city across the UK. And if its a case of 'ooooo European cups' then 'ooooo league title's.' And if its a case of 'ooooo European cups' then 'ooooo league title's.' Nobody cares about league titles. The romance of being (double) European champions will always be far greater than being champions of England, even if Cloughie himself said he go out of everything else if you could guarantee he'd be a league champion. Day
"Nobody cares about league titles." Yes I'm sure you're right Mr Dawn, Arsenal fans are not really arsed about it, Man City fans looked a bit meh about winning it last year.
i84est
Yeah it ment nothing to win the league in then days the formats alot different now. Red_Dawn
Wolverhampton, Ipswich and Huddersfield have all won league titles. Does anyone Remember those? No. Does anyone remember Derbys wins? No. I was watching the Damned United with a Palace supporting friend and he was shocked to realise Clough had ever been at Derby. Pearl Ram
That I didn't know Clough had been at Derby tripe is akin to a music fan saying I didn't know The Beatles honed their craft in Hamburg. It just shows his lack of football knowledge and the fact you surround yourself with bozo's. I'd suggest our home attendance would also be if they didn't give away free tickets to every home game. 2 question which I've never had answered before so I don't expect to now.... 1) if you're so popular and we're just a small shitty town who's never won nowt..... Why are you arguing with us about attendances? 2) If we give free tickets away, why are our gates down? If we got 29,000 avg attendance a couple of years ago and 25k ish last year.... and that's why we got more fans than you, then why are we only getting 20k now? (you'll say 'because you can't give free tickets away now!!' to which I'll reply 'yes, now can I have a serious answer') A week after beating you (again) you're on a Derby forum telling us how insignificant we are. Telling us how great you're support is. Do Stoke do this to Port Vale too? Mighty Forest. You're Palace fan mate...... Does he know what offside is? Day
Any ideas on what Forest's average gate is this season if you take out the Derby game? Total: 20701 (Below Leicester) 21575 19745 22738 18748 (v Blackburn after Derby beat them) So all that's left to say is....ahem.....You only go to see the Derby!
