'Your dad washes elephants'

What a bizarre chant to shout.. I could sort of understand it if it was aimed at Kalou, Toure, Drogba etc.. As the Ivory Coast has the nickname 'Elephants'

But to shout it at Adebayor, why?

Unless it's actually his dads profession as a Zoo Keeper or something like that, in which case it's the truth.. ie. hardly offensive.

It's purely to rhyme, like alot of songs it doesn't really make sense

Adebayor Adebayorrrrr

His dad washes elephants

and his mum is a whore

those are the lyrics in case you didn't know

I thought it was

Robbie earnshaw, Robbie earnshawwww

A sad forest *******

and his mum is a whore.

Either way I thunk he gets the picture :)

I do remember when we eat them last year at our place we sang that and savage stop turned his ear to the south east and started laughing when he caught on. funny moment.

Wow - this was dicussed at great length when some sections of the DCFC crowd sang it when he played at PPS during the Prem Season

I have to say that I was on the side of those who found it offensive.

However

The chant referred to has been previously discussed with the Crown Prosecution Service, who do not consider it racist.

I stand corrected
