The thought of Holloway (not Blackpool especially) getting relegated and then not getting his £30m for Adam as the badge kissing block head jumps ship actually gives me an erection. You wont find it so easy to grab a camera man and a microphone back down here Holloway!! Not with Leed United here now.

Ha ha..perfectly put, I hate the media love in of such an average manager who happens to have a silly accent and say silly things now and again.. Alph
The only worry is that West Ham and Wigan were due to begin their great escape around about now. What they playin at??
CumbrianRam
Stoke thrash Wolves 3-0 and by the sounds of it, the margin should have been bigger. I think it is 3 from the bottom 5 to go down and it may go down to goal difference.
uttoxram75
Rumour has it that when Stoke play Blackpool they will "rest" most of their first team for the Cup final now they're safe. It would be completely wrong to link this with Tony Pulis being best mates with Ian Holloway... One's a godfather to the others child or some such apparently. CumbrianRam
Hugo Rodallega the idiot of the day for Wigan, giving away a late penalty v Everton who equalised. Today's results Blackburn Rovers 1-0 Bolton Wanderers Blackpool 0-0 Stoke City Wigan Atheltic 1-1 Everton League table 15 Blackburn 35 -14 38 16 Birmingham 34 -17 38 17 Blackpool 35 -22 35 ------------------------------ 18 Wigan 35 -23 35 19 Wolves 34 -23 33 20 West Ham 34 -22 32 Tommorrow's games Birmingham v Wolverhampton Man City v West Ham
CumbrianRam
No lack of effort from West Ham, but lack of quality and poor first half tatics cost them dear (only team in the battle not to pick up a point). Poor point for Wolves at Brum, with Brum being down to ten men for 60 mins of the match. Today's results Birmingham 1-1 Wolverhampton Man City 2-1 West Ham League table 15 Birmingham 35 -17 39 16 Blackburn 35 -14 38 17 Blackpool 35 -22 35 ------------------------------ 18 Wigan 35 -23 35 19 Wolves 35 -23 34 20 West Ham 35 -23 32 Next week's games Saturday, 7 May 2011 Aston Villa v Wigan, 15:00 Newcastle v Birmingham, 15:00 West Ham v Blackburn, 15:00 Tottenham v Blackpool, 17:30 Sunday, 8 May 2011 Wolverhampton v West Brom, 12:00 Wins for Birmingham and Blackburn would make them safe, Birmingham probably have enough points now, West Ham need to win. The goal difference tally could prove key as well.
Bris Vegas
Blackpool must beat Bolton at home in 2 weeks time or they're down.. No way will they pick up points away at Spurs or Man Utd. Wolves have two massive home games against WBA and Blackburn. WBA will go all out to send them down. If they lose at home to WBA, along with a tricky away trip at S'Land, then they're down too. Brum look safe as houses. Next two games away at Newcastle and at home to Fulham, I think even just a point will see them safe, Wigan are at away at Villa, home to West Ham and away at Stoke. They need to beat WHU and pick up another point in there away game to make certainty of survival.. If they fail to beat West Ham at home, they're in trouble. Blackburn have massive games too, though one win and they should be safe. Two away games at Wolves and West Ham, plus a home game against Man Utd. If they win one of the away games, the team they beat are down. That leaves West Ham. trailing by 3 points then need 2 wins. Games against Blackburn (H) Wigan (A) S'Land (H). They can't afford to lose against Blackburn or Wigan. Not only does that relegate themselves, but pretty much garauntees safety of the other team. So many scenarios can happen, it's brilliant how they're all playing eachother aswell. Expect some strange tactics.. Whilst they all need wins, they can't afford to lose against eachother. Expect all-out-attack tactics and all-out-defend tactics switching during the games. The managers of the respective clubs are surely going to be earning their wages in the next few weeks. GboroRam
Blackpool must beat Bolton at home in 2 weeks time or they're down.. No way will they pick up points away at Spurs or Man Utd. League could be wrapped up by the last week. Would Fergie field a weakened team on the last day, or would he say it not fair on the other teams at the bottom (like he said when he basically kicked the ladder away from Sheff Utd)? MorecambeRam
I think West Ham,Wolves and Blackpool will drop.If Blackpool do go down where does that leave us with Varney?

They fielded a weakened team against Hull 2 years ago on the last game of the season, and still won. I think Man Utd could field a weakened team and include Gibson, O'Shea, Scholes, Fabio, Rafael, Macheda, Obertan etc. and still have enough fire power to beat Blackpool at home.
