According to the ever relaible Daily Mirror

Blackpool centre-half Rob Edwards is set to sign for Derby on loan for the rest of the season.

The Wales international, who started his career as an apprentice at Aston Villa, has been on the fringes of Ian Holloway’s side and is keen for more first-team action.

The Rams hope to agree terms later today to take Edwards into the Championship.

really don't see the point of this if it's true, don't think he's any improvement on our current CB's

Plus he's only played 4 times this season (losing 4, conceding 14)

if true this is nigel just getting rid and "moving on to the next group of players"

He can also play at right back and will likely be better defensivly than Brayford.

Who knows, if Clough is in favour of reverting back to a 4-4-2 then he might go with Brayford at right midfield and Edwards at right back.

It gives us options which we're short of at the moment so this addition would certainly improve our squad.

How crap have we been defensively?

You should ask Clough. What are they doing on the training pitch?

defense is getting worse season by season. Most of current defenders signed by Clough.

They are pathetic at least.

Brayford is not defender.

Anderson - who?

Buxton - why?

Roberts - donkey.

Barker - shocking this season.

Ayala - the savior... untill he's injured again.

According to Clough we had a lot of options at the back.

RB: Brayford, Green, Leacock.

CB: Barker, Leacock, Ayala, Addison, Brayford, Anderson, Buxton.

LB: Roberts (a very good left back), Pearson.

How many of the center backs are fit? At the moment Barker and Ayala - Leacock went off last night with a knock no word if it is bad or not. Addison as cover. Also the full back cover you mention are not competition, but cover in the case of injury arent they, except for Leacock they have only been played their in the case of injury and not form.

Clough has said on the Paul Hayes statement in the DET that he wants a nother center back who can cover full back as well.

We need centre halfs for whatever system we play. Don't think Bearyford will be pushed into midfield. Don't forget this is only a loan, he may well nit be here next season

Morning Dav, have you not been warned of the dangers of staying up all night watching 'Ello 'Ello?
