Anyone know who the behind closed doors friendly was against yesterday? Or any other details?

3-1 win against a full strength Man City side. Washington and Collins bullied Dias and Stones to grab a goal each, Korey Smith picked De Bruyne’s pocket in midfield and lobbed Ederson from halfway to give us a 3-0 lead. Bradley had Haaland in his pocket and they only scored a deflected consolation after Cashin got bored of marking Foden out the game and let him get a shot away which cannoned in off Forsyth’s deckchair….
🤥

In truth, nope, but I enjoyed spinning a yarn

Was Haaland playing with a view to coming to us on loan ?

That’s clearly nonsense as Wash scored a hat trick 🙄

So it must have been 5-1 🤔

As @Srg said, a lot of the footage and sound bites had already been shared earlier in the summer.
The additional bits were mainly from the team meetings when you got more of a feel for Warne and Barker as a management duo, and were therefore quite interesting. It’s stuff they’ve said before but I like seeing the evidence of them setting their standards. Establishing the culture and expectations very clearly, pointing out what others have said regarding last season about how Warne sees it as failure and that this season “by hook or by crook” we will be top 6.

It’s not a surprise he’s so into his NFL. A lot of the respect, love, family, care for each other, unity etc etc is all really heavily preached through coaches in that sport. For multiple reasons, such as it being a violent sport where knowing you have team mates who will fight with you is important, it being complicated where what you do on any given play is a small part of an entire design for the team or it being a way to knit together a huge roster of players who are well-paid but are extremely diverse and have different individual goals.
