Undefeated Zach Parker will take on Marcus Morrison tonight.

The 27-year-old is the WBO International super-middleweight champion but is eager to move up the ranks and eventually challenge for Canelo Alvarez’s world gold.

Parker will face a tough test this weekend against Morrison.

‘Sweet MNM’ is 24 and four in his professional career and beat Lewis van Poetsch last time out to bounce back from a defeat to Chris Eubank Jr.

This 10-round super-middleweight bout will take place on Saturday, November 6 and is being held at the Utilita Arena in Birmingham.

The ring walks for Parker vs Morrison are expected from 10pm on the night.

The fight will be shown on BT Sport 1 from 7:45pm.

It’s bizarre what a one sport city Derby is.

Whether or not you agree with the ranking system, we have one of our own in line for a mandatory against the pound for pound best boxer in the world if he comes through tonight.

His top billing tonight has pretty much been talked down by BT in favour of some unknown Stokie on the undercard with huge travelling support.

Zach Parker wears our colours everywhere he goes so why is there not more support for him?

I think there is big & growing support for Zach. The issue is he didnt fight for about 18 months (injury & opponent injury) and a low profile previous to that. He's been very active in the last year though & plenty of Derby supporting him tonight in Brum. BT have also definitely been talking him up, loads of interviews & invite to Canelo debate...the Stokie lad is just a ticket seller hence why on last (although a decent fighter)

Brilliant performance- stopped in Rd 4

It was brilliant. Morrison is no mug, has a good KO record of his own & took Eubank Jr to points few months back but Zach demolished him. Great body shots & very clinical finisher. He's a very exciting prospect...rangey, powerful, switch hitter & intelligent. Whilst I'd love him to get a Canelo tilt, I'd like to see him get through a big domestic dust up first. He called out Eubank Jr in his post fight interview...that'd be ideal & no reason why that also couldnt be at PP
