I woke up early to watch MOTD. Reminds me of when I was a kid and wasn't allowed to stay up.

Holloway's interview post-match was sombre but quite heartwarming. He just seems like an honest bloke and I wish him and Blackpool the best of what they can get this season.

Also Holloway took Fester down so he's a bit of a champ for that.

If they play tough football against Arsenal they could easily grind out a draw or even overwhelm them.

He's not getting carried away and I don't blame him, he knows they have a poor squad and the chances of staying up are very slim. Wigan are a poor team and when they lose they lose in style. I'd be surprised if they come away from the Arsenal game without conceding at least 3 goals.

Blackpool have agreed a fee with Bournemouth for striker Brett Pitman as they look to bolster their attacking options.

The Seasiders saw their initial £400,000 approach for the highly-rated 22-year-old rejected by the League One club.

Pitman was integral to the Cherries' success last term as he plundered 26 goals en route to promotion and started the new campaign in similar style.

He notched a hat-trick in the opening day drubbing of Peterborough and chairman Eddie Mitchell was not tempted by Blackpool's opening move for his prized asset.

But Ian Holloway's side have returned with an improved offer which has swayed the South Coast club into accepting the bid on the table.

The player is now discussing personal terms with the Premier League outfit ahead of his proposed move to Bloomfield Road.

£1million apparently
