The difference between a good championship player and an average Premiership player isn't that much, look at Bournemouth for example many of their players have played in the lower leagues and have managed the step up very well. I have not seen him play, he may not be good enough for the championship even but if a player is good enough for a promotion chasing championship team they should also be good enough for a lower mid table Prem team.
