Really happy about this. Like the look of him. Some exciting young wingers are getting hype because they look dangerous. They look dangerous because they play with their chin on their chest. Thomas already has a bit more about him. Harry Wilson I'm sure technically is far better. But Thomas has been more productive. Seems switched on. 

Hope he gets game time at Derby.

Good news. Hopefully we can bring the younger players through and keep them. Still raw at losing the talents of Hughes and Jeff Hendrick.

Hard to see the most promising homegrown youngsters like Thomas and Bogle getting opportunities when we're bringing in loan players of similar ages and positions from Champions League clubs.

Neither are particularly homegrown but I agree with your principle.

Fact is though that the players of similar ages we are bringing in are the best players we have in their position, while our youngsters are 2nd - 4th choice. Lampard's already shown he will give them opportunities, and its those opportunities that their development needs. 

Going from the U23s to suddenly being a concrete starter is, in many cases, how players get written off by fans.
