Very unfortunate for PSV Eindhoven to find themselves in the GROUP OF DEATH with 3 European heavyweights.

Didn't Man Utd get relegated last year? Has-beens! Need to revise your statement to 2 European heavyweights and Man United ?

Each group has an English team from Premier League 2 Division 1, and Division 2 (except for D & E, where both teams are division 1) - and two invited "equivalent " European teams. While you'd expect PSG to have an expensive youth set-up, and PSV to have a decent team being dutch (probably both, in truth, superior to Derby's), they both play outside the structure of PL2 (obviously) so Derby are technically the "top seed" of Group F.

How did Norwich find themselves in that company?

I'm not sure what determines who is included in this competition. Was there a qualification phase I didn't notice?

There are 4 Division 1 teams not involved (Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City and Blackburn) in the group stage, and 8 Division 2 teams not involved. Maybe it's just offering a place to all Division 1 teams, then if any decline they offer them to Division 2 teams based on how they finished last season? Not a clue.
