Lamps was not only a brilliant player but a true pro who knew how to win and to motivate. The optimist in me says he'll bring all that and more to the club (Not least an almost Einstein level IQ) which may make up for his lack of experience. Rather him than any of the boring regurgitated managers on offer. One or two young, hungry players in aka DaSilva etc. could be all we need for something special to finally happen at the club we all love ? Ultimately, if we were planning for wholesale changes then we would have at least started the ball rolling now.
