With parachute payment and the sales of Sissoko, Wjinaldum, Janmaat and a few others from memory, no they didn't.  I think they actually made net profits of £40m on player transactions. 

So maybe selling your best players and using the funds to strengthen does work...

Fulham are also in the same division as us so this would seem to indicate breaching FFP rules doesn't guarantee anything.

We've achieved exactly the same as them. Nothing.

So back to your point then. You wanted us to keep Hughes and Ince. (We finished 10th with them last season) and assume you wanted us to buy more new players as well?

You give another question or say something completely irrelevant.

So, with your new guy Rowett in place, what should have been the plan? Do you think we should ignore FFP and keep on spending?
