Isn't he a right back that can cover other positions as well? I'm sure last time we were interested metgood or clough said they saw him as a right back so I can't see why we would be interested as he demands high wages, well did a year ago which I can't see us wasting on a back up

Agree with you, emjlc, although he is out of contract now, maybe something could happen? But doubt it very much.

I like the sound of him again, fits in with the leader role, at this rate we could have 4 captains in our side...

Bryson, Eustace, Shackell and Buijis. I think that can be a massive boost to the players, plus Barker who is a natural leader and will rightly so be skip next season!

Maybe he got injured again. He seemed like he diden't get in the side for the last couple of Den Haag's games. Not even on the bench. Maybe there was a re occurance of his injury and that put an end to the deal. Seems odd that Derby went to the trouble of shipping over Appleby for that Friday night match and talks. Think he could fill one of the missing spots in the jigsaw and seems like a tough enough character to cope with the championship. It would have been a Bosman signing if it was going to happen.

He is a right back who can play in midfield, nothing like eustacewho is a midfield player full stop. I can't see us being in for him.

He can play a defensive midfield role, or on the right side. Granted, he's not as specialised as Eustace, but then, many thought that Eustace was useless for us when he was here last time anyway.

It does seem strange that Bujis wasn't played towards the end of their season, if he was contracted I would say that there was a definite move on the cards but he is a free agent so it would not make sense. Who knows? Eustace was basically still injured we came here so no wonder he got stick

A bit like Forest freezing out that lad who signed a pre-contract with Celtic. Can't remember his name, and quite frankly don't care either.

Hey guys. I'm new here, and as my username suggests I live in Holland..

Kinda felt I should register to at least be able to tell you lads that I really hope Derby will NOT sign Buijs. Buijs is good at winning the ball, but combines this with picking up way too many bookings. He's passionate, but lacks the football intelligence to be able to translate that passion on to the pich correctly. He can be all over the field, but loses the ball very often, executes horror tackles, argues with his teammates, journalists and coaches.. Oh man. The guy's a disaster. Didn't ever really make it with FC Groningen, wasn't able to impress at Feyenoord and is now not even able to claim a spot in ADO Den Haag's first eleven. They usually play with Toornstra, Radoslajevic and Immers, who are all way ahead of Buijs, despite being many years younger.
