A player can pretty much do what he wants for most of the season and get away with it. Managers cannot offload anyone disruptive or poor. They just have to live with the problem. January windows are not much use as most teams sort of sit back and wait. so its the summer panic. How many do/can you dump/bring in. How long to find out they do/donot gel together. It basically a nonsense and totally detrimental to gradual team building and improvement. It is ridiculous and baffles me how there is always a mad scramble in the hours up to the deadline. I know the dominoe effect come into play but why not do business early.
