Pearce has won the division, Bucko's finished third and we were top the year after when he got crocked.

Wes Morgan and Rob Huth won the title.

It's not about the player, it's how efficient a cog in the machine they are.

Nail. Head. BANG

100 times a down grade.

Buxton wasn't just passion and desire. He could play at both ends of the park. We actually scored from corners when he was about. Plus his left peg was a beaut.

If he'd have come from the PL and worn bright boots, he would have got the plaudits he deserved. But he was always labeled as non league, and his old school approach made people see him as a relic.

I would never have let him go.

Looking backwards through rose-tinted spectacles to a time that never actually was.

Look at Buxton's whole Derby career and it was very variable. He was error -  prone when he first arrived and got left out of the team by Clough as a result.

Like most players in the team Pearce is not putting in consistently good performances. At the moment too many players are having average or bad games and it becomes infectious. When we signed Pearce a lot of fans thought we were getting an average championship player, and that assessment seems reasonably accurate.
