But I can't remember him being especially remarkable. Good point he didn't really pull up many trees before he got injured but is a good prospect and the lad was unlucky to get a knee injury straight away. Wilson will hopefully recover ok at Man U. I don't think Derby would have ever turned down 10.5 million for Hendrick whoever was Derbys manager. Martin was sent out on loan to Fulham and the deal could have been or still maybe worth 9 million although Martin has signed a new contract at Derby so maybe it will just be the 3 million loan fee. Signings Vydra and Anya have so far not worked out at Derby for whatever reason although there is still time. McClaren will have his own views on the current players at the club and moving forward will be very interesting to say the least.

Of course, then with the change of manager and system there's some pondering as to whether hendrick would have helped us more this season. All speculation -we'll never know. Martin holds all the cards I think in respectof his future so we'll have to wait and see. Agree with those who say mac has a big job. Good post Curtains! plymouthram
Shame our board went for Pearson, probably looking at what he achieved with Foxes. Didn't realise he was a one trick pony with his tactics and got lucky with the players that other people brought in at the club behind the scenes. Shame we didn't hve Mac from the start. Our 9 points from the first 10 games could have been easily doubled under Mac, that would have sitting in 7th place on 58pts with a game in hand over some teams above us. We have had difficulty breaking teams down that park the bus for a while now. To be fair, all teams have trouble breaking down a team that 'parks the bus'

Mel Morris is more trigger-happy than the legendary "Deadly Doug" Ellis.
