Sir Me Posted December 14, 2016 Share Posted December 14, 2016 I've just been reading this article on Sky with Rob Mackenzie who arrived in August: http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11096/10694789/the-changing-face-of-scouting-the-challenge-of-buying-from-abroad I noted the reporter said 'most recently Derby's director of recruitment". So I did a little digging, went on the who's who and neither Mackenzie or Hitchen are named and Mackenzie has on his Linkedin page that he left in October. From pure guess work, I'd guess that they were disposed of when Chris Evans returned, even though he was presented as "Technical Director" to do "operational work". There's been quite a few people leaving the club since Mac came back. The long standing medical department has been replaced, now the recently appointed scouting department has been trashed. Like yourself, I assumed he was still with us because there was nothing on google saying he had left, apart from the LinkedIn page but I was not 100% if that page was authentic. More disappointing though is the local media didn't ask the right questions when Evans came back, and the somewhat dishonest way this has been presented to the fans.
