But the FA's victory was a Pyrrhic one. Kettering, backed by Bolton Wanderers and Derby County, subsequently lobbied the FA to allow shirt sponsorship, and in June 1977 the ban was lifted.

yep so it was banned until 1977, doesn't alter the fact that it wasn't allowed in the 76-77 season when that shirt was made, and never worn in a match. The Saab deal was a club sponsorship not a specific shirt sponsorship.
