Mostyn6
Next year I celebrate my 40th birthday. I'm hoping to be away on a greek island for it with mates.Trying to remember my landmark birthdays and traditionally, it was either a pub party (my dad had pubs) or doing the mile (old pub crawl in Derby). I think both my 18th and 21st were spent in my local backstreet boozer with all my friends and family, and my 30th was a pub crawl with about 30 mates down Ashbourne Road. How did you celebrate your landmark birthdays. Day
30th Couple pints in a local pub with the ex and a mate, they ate fish and chips I had a bag of nuts21st Was living in a shared house at the time, mate text to see what I was upto, just enjoying my 21st birthday in front of the tv, came round shortly with his missus, brought a small bottle of vodka and a crate. I necked the vodka, next thing I'm waking up in the morning laid in the bath freezing me nips off.18th I was in Godskitchen in Birmingham, dressed in a tight little clubbing shirt with wings on the back, with foam cuts outs of random club logos. Was proud of it at the time. That was until I walked out of Birmingham New Street, walked past two big black guys, one of which landed one square in my face without saying a word and just carried on walking. Covered in blood still went, had a decent night, slept outside the train station waiting for the first train back in the morning.
Cisse
Never have celebrated my birthday after I was a kid. Planning on having some kind of celebration five years from now when I turn 50. If I have enough money which I doubt I would love to visit Seattle and Vancouver.
ketteringram
Never did anything for any of them. Most of them probably involved working a 12 hour night shift. Next one will be 60th, and the Mrs is on about doing something, but I doubt anything will happen
eddie
Nothing. My 18th was a non-event, because my father had a pub and I was working behind the bar anyway.

eddie
Any plans for your 21st? A few months ago I went into the pub and announced "I'm 62 today" - the landlord said "Have this one on me."A while later, when I was leaving, he asked me whether I was coming in the next day."No", I replied. "I'm 2 to 10 tomorrow"

Spanish
1979 saw a few there, boomtown rats being one of the most memorable. Had tickets for Sex Pistols not that i was a fan - it was cancelled by the 'town fathers' whilst I was sitting in the Dolphin having a last pint before the doors opened. It was a brilliant venue, the boards covering the pool were very springy, you could stand still and still bounce!
