Just to set you all at ease (not that you need it), I work as an 'Employed Consultant' for a company who have sub-contracted me out to Jaguar Land Rover for the last 4 and a half years. Technically, when I leave JLR on Wednesday, I shall still be 'employed' by the parent agency (and get paid), even if I have nothing to do. This is a situation that will apply for a while (it might be a month, perhaps a little more), after which they would give me notice if they were unable to find me sub-contract work through one of their other clients. That's what today's interview was - chatting to another one of their clients. In the meantime, I will be also looking myself independently, perhaps with a view to going back contracting proper.

Not worried at the moment - in fact, I would value a month off 'between jobs'.

so you're not out of work you drama queen.

right!

everyone carry on!

I assume with the VW scandal kicking off, they no longer want a programmer to cheat the emissions test?

Ok,

I've just cleared out an old airing cupboard ready to connect up a new boiler that's been fitted.

i ripped out the old cylinder and down behind it was two very old used ladies sanitary towels and what can only be described as a "bag of *****"

i found a bit of stick to clear the towels, but I had my suspicions what was in the plastic bag by the fact it was soft and squashy.

The question I keep asking myself is why did I have to smell it? Why?

it confirmed my suspicions anyway.

the house is empty and being refurbed    So no customers to sneer at and mutter "dirty barsteward" under my breath.

has anyone else every found any disgusting or amazing things while at work?

I have tried to forget some of the things I have seen from the Waterfall but I am still haunted by the time I found you and @mozza in there

I never said I was, did I? You all just jumped to that conclusion. I said...

Last week, I found that I was surplus to requirements.

Been for my first interview in over 4 years today.
