rammieib Posted March 19, 2015 Share Posted March 19, 2015 I wish Shaun Barker all the best but now we have got to this position, I find that the club don't know what to do With him.1) nobody has come out publicly and said they think he could return to first team action, this season or next season.2) nobody has really talked about opportunities elsewhere.3) we have paid to keep him on our books (sentimental yes, but commercially a large cost) but what was the end goal?I personally find it bizarre at the moment as I don't think anyone knows what to do. I hope he proves himself to be fit and gets a move to somewhere like Burton so he can stay locally (newish house, two kids, the locally based foundation etc) and get another couple of years of football underneath him.if the club comes out and says they want him to compete for a spot in the first team, I would respect that as well as it gives him direction.
