What's going on at Brentford?

Hope Brentford go up with us. I like them. Good club, good manager, good team.

And they don't play the plucky underdog card like Bournemouth. Or have a bell end as a manager.

Shame they won't come 2nd and then Watford win the play Offs.

In 2001 here in Sweden, Allsvenskan club Hammarby decided not to renew manager Soren Cratz contract at the end of the season. This info was given out to manager and media midway through the season. Reason given was that " Cratz style of football was not suitable for Hammarby IF"!!

The team went on to win the league title and become Champions of Sweden for the first time in their entire history that season. They were formed in 1915.

Around 75000 fans celebrated the success of that season in Stockholm's Sodermalm district after the season ended but still Cratz was sacked!!

Since then, needless to say, they have won nowt and even dropped down a division for quite a few years.

Warburton going at the end of the year.

Seems strange to us, but from reading about Benham, they dont come much smarter.

Been reading that he basically wants to implement the very best methods for professional betting into running a football club.

Really interesting to see what happens to Brentford over the next couple of years.

Most of people here were happy with Clough, but Sam had his strategy: Better relationships (Mac, Steele), better coaching (Mac, Steele, Simmo ?) and better recruitment (Evans, Mac & co).

OK, Warburton has done better than Clough did but maybe the case is otherwise similar?

Saw Warburton's interview on the FLS last night. He explained its all to do with the owner wanting a continental system of Football Director/Coach.

Warburton wants to manage and choose his own players basically, so they have agree to part. He sounds a very focused and determined guy and obviously believes in himself.

Someone will gain from Brentford's loss.
