The most surprising thing of the transfer window...

The most surprising thing about this window is that the Owners of DCFC have had so little write up on here. They have performed better or at least as well as any other Owners in this window. The Club is growing in respect at a ridiculous rate. Mel Morris joined up because he was impressed by the PROFESSIONALISM and HUMILITY of the owners. Humility is staggeringly obvious at all U21 games where dignitaries seem like ordinary fans. Professionalism is glaringly obvious at all levels. The only people who are in danger of getting out od step are the fans. We need to show real class to further enhance the image of the club. Not putting up with the less than savoury minority is something that Sam Rush wants. This is the time to walk with dignity and be a credit to an increasingly important model Club to show the way forward for Football. The Wolves Manager said that Clubs were increasingly looking to Derby County as a model to see how to run a Football Club. What a compliment that was. Fan bases also have reputations to keep up. We messed it up against Florist but I think that we may be catching on that Derby could have real status in the Football World again. We have a great board, CEO, Managerial Team, Scouting System, Academy and a growing base of fans that want to play their part in bringing DCFC to the forefront in every respect.COYR

Probably because they go about their job in a dignified, quiet, efficient manner. More to the point, they let SR get on with it. Look at all the owners that do otherwise - and not just a certain Mr Al-Hasawi.

Looking at form, consistency and upside, only 2 players would command serious attention from top teams right now: Johnny Russell and Will Hughes. I would imagine we would be horrified to learn the amount of discussions sam rush has had with top teams about Will Hughes this winter. The answer was probably: 'talk to us at the end of the season, we are in a promotion race and he's our best player'.

I think McClaren would have little problem parting with any fringe player, aka, Whitbread, Eustace, Dawkins, and in fact he has let Coutts and Freeman go hasn't he. I think come the summer, we may see Martin, Ward, Buxton all leave to other championship teams. Other players, such as Bryson or Hendrick may be sold if we get a great offer. Keogh Forsyth or Christie could also be targeted.

Although there have been many incomings this window, relatively speaking we have spent very little . It's been remarkable really given the pedigree and age of the incomings that we've been able to do that so well.

Martin would be first player on team sheet. Look at norwich with holt, southampton with lambert. These 2 sides stopped up when they kept their key talisman

If we go up none of the key players will go. To go could be keogh, bryson, dawkins, ward (maybe), whitbread, naylor.
