want to say how much we missed him second half

we completely lost all our identity after he went off, its plain simple we lose the majority of our footballing ability when hes not playing, and we end up resorting to survival hoofball as we have no one in the middle/above the park to link up all the play

a few other games earlier in the season we missed him when he wasn't playing

god forbid if he gets injured long term for us, think wed definitely have to go out and find a loan to cover as i dont think we can cope without him

I don't think he was having the best game of his life or anything but his departure really exposed the other midfielders, especially Bryson. Funny that less than 12 months ago a midfield of Thorne, Hendrick and Bryson ripped them to pieces. Class operators such as Thorne and Hughes make a huge difference at Championship level.

Look at the difference in quality of football we played in 2011/12 (no Hughes) to 2012/13 (Hughes) despite the only other key differences in the team being Sammon replacing Davies and Keogh replacing Shackell. Our worst spell in 12/13 was when Hughes was injured. Him and Thorne are key.
