Rampage
Seen u21s against Middlesborough and Aston Villa. Improvement is amazing. Great setting at Teaining Ground on my first visit. Like watching the first team. Seamless between first eleven, against Reading with five changes and then U21s. Never seen so many talented players at Derby. Koblenz looks a serious talent, shades of George Thorne. Very distressing clash of heads for Koblenz. The whole Club is buzzing at the Training Centre. Rawson also looks like he will make it. If I was a Premiership owner or CEO with no manager at Xmas there is only one place that I would be knocking. Need to match any financial offers that may be made to the Genius with the Brolly. FunkyRam
Really wish Ram's player would have more on the U21's, hardly any footage at all:(
Rampage
I agree. Why can Derby not make U21 matches easy to see on the internet. They are really worth watching I can tell you. I will go to their games at Alfreton as it is not too far to travel.
-JW-
Most of them are played at Moor farm, where there is limited space for cameras and stuff.
Rampage
The whole match for u21s is videoed from a scaffold platform at the half way line. Steve McClaren watches from top of the hill. At least he did it against Aston Villa
-JW-
Dunno, maybe John Vicars might put a complaint in about broadcast rights.
Rampage
Also a great chance to meet some of the players. A cheap stand down one side would be nice. Great afternoon there at Moor Farm if you are not at work. Nice view from embankment or a good plastic rail to lean on six foot from pitch. Rampage
They obviously analyse the video as part of training. My impression is that Steve McClaren is watching them like a hawk.
Animal is a Ram
They are clearly seeing the effects when the u21s come into the first team - with the style of football being the same, it reaps its rewards when they want to/have to dip into the u21 team. Good times for Derby, in and away from the first team, on and off the pitch.
Rampage
Steve McClaren on Sky sports today was enthusing about his squad, the U21s and the U18s and gave every impression of the whole playing staff doing well with the future looking bright for the Club. He also said he would be seeking to add players through the loan system. any opinions on which positions he would be looking at. Another' Chris Martin' and a full back in my opinion. Srg
2-0 Mascarell 25 yard FK. Doesn't surprise me there, his set pieces (particularly corners) were exceptional vs Charlton.
