Never realised Clough hid in the changing room all game when we played Leeds.

Who knew?

I think that bit is made up.

T'other way round.

(apart from wiping me arse with the film, obviously)

No i think he was right.

I thought the book was poor and the film was poor.

So i can't lose.

I have seen better sport movies, but this one was ok I thought.Still better films I have seen is Green Street, even though I really dont like Millwall or West Ham.

For a hoolie film watch the original Firm or ID

I thought the film was very good. Colm Meaney was perfect as Don Revie. He looked and sounded just like him. That's what you get when you hire top actors.  I also thought Michael Sheen got Brian Clough just right. He is another great actor.

You could see that a lot of effort had gone in to finding lookalikes for some of the players.

That bit set in Majorca - with the sunshine and the atmospheric music - really captured the feeling of escape and relaxation you felt when you got away from England in the 1970s.

A decent flick but two really annoying things.

None of the filming is done in Derby.

Halfway through the film were PT shows BC the newspaper it is called the "Derby Chronicle" even despite it being quoted rightly as the "Derby Telegraph" in the book. Just demonstrates laziness and lack of research by the producers really.
