you wouldn't like a pound on that would you?

Just so we know where you stand on this, what would pay the greater returns for my quid?

The rams finishing second or you ever finishing this book you ate working on?

just to say everyone ranting on about burnley being the example football club by spending little and achieving lots, would any of you care to look in the mirror sometime

let say first team players, not necessarily the starting 11

Grant - free transfer

Wisdom - loan (free)

Bucko - free transfer

Keogh - £1million

Forsyth - free transfer

Thorne - loan (free)

Hughes - academy (free)

Hendrick - academy (free)

Bryson - around £400K

Russel - around £750K

Ward - undisclosed but im guessing around £800k

Martin - free transfer

Bamford - loan (free)

Dawkins - around 300K

lemme add all this up, hmmm, lets see, starting 11, at most, £3.25million, AT MOST, teams like leicester and forest aren't afraid of spending that on one player and their equivilent of keogh - shackel cost them what, £1.2million, and we have players produced from our very own youth academy, looking at what should be a comfortable play-off finish, one of the most gauranteed financially secured football clubs in the football league, huge fanbase, superb training facilities, receiving some of the largest sponsor deals in english football, personally id like to think that we could be considered as a 'role model' to many other clubs, and not just to clubs in lower leagues to us, and a few premier clubs could take a look at how we operate, me, i like our chances

"What about Devon Loch in the 1956 - lost the Grand National with the winning post in sight?

Burnley may bottle it - loads of teams have in the past."

You seem to have a fixation on Burnley bottling it Grantona.

Just his wishful thinkin' , bud ,

Congrats on 'runners up' .. :D

Yes thread can be closed.

The ref at our game at Turf Moor still rankles though, there were only two points between us when that game kicked off. And we lost Martin for the game after.

Those two defeats Burnley away and Millwall home seemed to knock us out of the race for 2nd place.

Agreed. It wasnt just the Burnley game it was the Millwall game after , we were not the same team without Martin.

But Burnley have coped without Vokes and Ings so fair play to them.
