The most important thing is not the touchy feeliness of the players. It's their ability to win cricket matches. That means picking players who can do that and if they are unpopular, it's the coach's and captain's job to manage that. That's what they are paid for. Johnson and co had worked out his poor technique . ie waving his bat and getting nicks all the time.
