B4ev6is
There is a really nice fish chip cafe on the sea front really good price we got 2 small fish and chips and bread and butter and a pot of tea or coffee thrown in for about £20. If it is still open that is. And for the kids sea life centre pleasure beach and a pub for away fans about 5mins for the grounds.

Martyn
All day today, instead of surfing the net and taking the piss out of Forest fans, I've been trying to work out how to use ADO record objects to record database access results and use them as test result control values when iteratively invoked from a VBA script. Cracked it. Now for a beer. Is that in Office or just VBA scripting? Isn't it all done with PowerShell now? I'm a bit out of touch with MS stuff these days (thankfully!), now it's all LAMP & Web Services based, except for a few legacy products (Access & VBA based - aarrrgghhhh!). MrsRam
Got two from the tickets office today. Never been to Blackpool football or not football related. Well, at least it's not a Saturday match - we went last season, couldn't get into the pubs - stag and hen doo's everywhere, being sick in the street at 11 oclock in a morning. We went in the ground early, someone telling us they served beer - and they didn't. Didn't even bother going out at night, stayed in the hotel bar. Absolute 5hite hole. I'm a bit out of touch with MS stuff these days (thankfully!), now it's all LAMP & Web Services based, except for a few legacy products (Access & VBA based - aarrrgghhhh!). Office. I wanted to keep everything together in one place, so basically everything runs from a single Excel workbook with a load of VBA scripts, all working from metadata (record and file layouts, defined validation rules etc). A whole bunch of functions which basically allow the test analysts to verify and validate interface structures and contents, apply data-related rules and so on, producing standard reports and crap like that. The interfaces themselves come from PROPER Legacy systems - 30 year old mainframe applications that are gradually, oh-so-gradually being de-commissioned and replaced function by function by SAP - but that activity has now been going on for 3 years and so far, less than 5% of them have been de-commissioned. Hence the requirement for bridgeware - and something to test/verify the bridgeware.

He must know somewhere better, probably from his interweb computer thingy I tend to drink in the Grosvenor Casino near the South Pier - wouldn't be seen dead in most Blackpool boozers - certainly not the ones the stag-partiers and football fans frequent. The Pump and Truncheon is ok, but they've stopped selling Belgian beer (boo).
