Gary Teale
Christ knows how Pearce has got us 2nd and unbeaten then. He's a bloody miracle worker to get results out of such an inferior set of players, particularly against Derby where to a man we were second best in almost every position. Trying to be totally unbiased here but my combined 11 (if all fit) would be... Darlow Hunt Hobbs Mancienne Cohen Ward Thorne Lansbury Reid Assombalonga Martin Subs: Antonio Wilson Lascelles Hendrick Grant Fryatt Forsyth Hughes doesnt get in the 16? Fryatt and Laselles arent even in your starting 11 yet make the squad? Come on we have lost about 4 games in 50 odd yet we get a whole 3 players in the starting 11. Srg
It would depend on formation obviously, but mine (if we played our formation) would be: Grant, Christie, Hobbs, Mancienne, Forsyth, Thorne, Hughes, Lansbury, Ibe, Ward, Martin

Gary Teale
As Hughes and Bryson were in the Football league team of the year wouldnt they both be in for starters as if all the pro's think they are the best players they have played against there must be something in it

Everyone knows that Forest fans know better. They were European Champions after all.

Shaftesbury Street
Ran a comparison on each player, this is what I came up with. Grant; Christie, Hobbs, Mancienne, Forsyth; Eustace, Bryson, Hughes; Ibe, Ward, Martin Losers: Darlow; Hunt, Buxton, Keogh, Lichaj; Tesche, Reid, Lansbury; Burke, Antonio, Assombalonga The Forsyth one with Lichaj was the most comprehensive - every single catagory by a landslide. Get your stats out for the lads (The Fozzy one)

Darlow Hunt Hobbs Mancienne Cohen Ward Thorne Lansbury Reid Assombalonga Martin Subs: Antonio Wilson Lascelles Hendrick Grant Fryatt Forsyth This team wouldn't even make the playoffs. So many square pegs in round holes. You can't compare the two because we ply such different styles. Martin wouldn't work in a front two as well, Thorne in a midfield two doesn't suit him, Ward as a flat left winger is not as effective etc. But given that Derby's style is far better than Forest's, and Derby's coaching and identity is far better than Forest's and that we've already proved last season and this that we're simply better - it has to be 4-3-3. Therefore: Grant, Christie, Keogh, Mancienne, Fozzy, Thorne, Bryson, Hughes, Ibe, Ward, Martin I'd honestly only take a centre back off you to partner Keogh who in fairness is pretty solid at bringing the ball out from the back. The rest of your players would be a square peg in a round hole.
Psycho
Agreed.... Don't think one fan between our two teams would come up either an exact same team as each other. Exactly. I would say that it is not totally ridiculous though to have our back 5 considering we've only let in 7 so far. Cohen was in as a bit of mischief as he wasn't played there this season before injury. Still would argue he is better than Forsyth though regardless of any stats. That number goes down to 2 when you take out the 3 games where Fox was shoe-horned into the centre-half position when all others were injured. 2 goals conceded in 7 games with 1st choice defenders is good at any level. Day
Is Cohen not a square peg in a round hole at left back? Not sure why I'm bothering tho, he's either on the funny fags or wind up mission
StaffsRam
He's either on the funny fags.... Whoa, careful. That's just an unhelpful stereotype. Apparently they're not all 'funny', just like they don't all have great dress sense. Psycho's lifestyle choices are not our's to question, where others might be crippled by embarrassment, or fearful of cruel jibes, or even feel victimised, Psycho's proud to wear that red shirt..... Cam the Ram
Forsyth beats Cohen in stats but they don't matter and Cohen is still better. The combined 11 should have Forest's back 5 and 0 of Derby's defenders or keeper because the stats show Forest have conceded less. Make your mind up, do stats matter or not?
