Introduction to entertainment

Set the scene; BOB has lived his whole life in a cellar, with no access to music, literature, television, movies or computer games.

You've been set the task to introduce Bob to popular culture. He's 20 years old, and intelligent, but ignorant to everything we take for granted.

You can compile a CD (a 'compilation' if you will), ten tracks, by different artists.

You can select 5 DVD movies, but NO boxsets (five single discs)

You can select 3 books

You can select 3 computer games in any format on any console.

Right so can he read? You can't really pick that up without being educated

Oh. just delete the f*cking thread and talk about poo instead! Sorry for just trying to get something going on a dying forum.

ps. Someone could read it to him, or he could read it when he'd learned to read, or it could've been an audiobook.

Does he know how to use a iPod by the way?

He's mentally capable of absorbing the instructions, but until he understands music, he's not interested, hence the reason why you're making him a compilation of 10 songs. But at the rate you're going, he wants to go back to his cellar cos you're boring him.

Ten Tracks? Would probably go for something significant from every decade since the '60s.

1.) Love Me Do - The Beatles

2.) A Day in the Life - The Beatles

3.) When the Levee Breaks - Led Zeppelin

4.) Money - Pink Floyd

5.) The Message - Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five

6.) This Charming Man - the Smiths

7.) Wonderwall - Oasis

8.) Parklife - Blur

9.) What Makes You Beautiful - One Direction

10.) Boyfriend - Justin Bieber

Those last two will be to emphasise the point that music is dying.

Five Films

The Graduate

The Italian Job

Pulp Fiction

Titanic (need to give the bloke SOMETHING to talk to women about, and despite the love story, you see a massive ship sink, and a nipple)

Saving Private Ryan

Three Books

The Bible

The Quran

The God Delusion.

Let the bloke decide for himself.

Three Video Games

Gran Turismo 6 - with a proper steering wheel

F1 2013
