I got one wrong! But I'd like to argue that it was a ***** question.

A chemical reaction, well a rusting nail was the correct answer, but I put dissolving sugar. Surely the sugar crystals are reacting with the H2O ?

Obviously a ***** question, I hated science, I was always arguing with the bold headed barsteward about something or another.

Not quite - sugar dissolving isnt a chemical reaction because the solution produced can be split back into the original stuff. Rusting nails change the iron to form iron oxide and can't be put back to original form. Or summat like that.
