gcdcfc28
Very good player, but he's worth 30-40 million top. When you look at how much a proven goal scorer for the past five years in Edinson Cavani went to PSG for, 80 odd million is way over the top. Alpha
I'd sell my daughter for that money. Seriously though, would you buy ANY player for that? Two players maybe but just one? If Derby bought Messi for £80m would we be better than if we bought Cazorla, Podolski, Muniain... Madness. £80m+ later how much more of a chance have they given themselves of winning La Liga and the Champions League? With 1 player? If Spurs now spend £80m wisely they can probably do some real damage that Bale nor Iniesta nor Ronaldo could never have done alone Madness. David
Haven't they spent £100m already? Would they have done that without the Bale money coming, doubt it. Hard to understand as a Derby fan that a club would spend money knowing they can recoup it later, we're so used to having to sell then start looking for players before deciding the loan market is the best option.
