StockholmRam
Phil Taylor was found guilty of assaulting 2 women a number of years ago as recall. He had an OBE ( Think it was OBE!) and it was stripped from him. Peculiar all round.. Assaulting women and only fined!! Bit odd.. Or?

Brammie Steve
Is cycling? Try going at the sort of speeds the top guys and gals in this SPORT go at in the conditions they have to face and you'd agree it is an extreme sport. Certainly not for the faint hearted! I once cycled from Tutbury around Wales in a half-term week. I got up to some hair-raising speeds, especially coming down the hill from Snowdon to Beddgelert without using the brakes. Nearest I've come to flying without a plane around me! These guys do it with a pack of other extremers at their sides. Fantastic!

ladyram
Of course cyclings a sport, it takes endurance and more than a bit of stamina to do what they do. What strikes me is the different disciplines and how someone like Chris Hoy can have such massive thighs compaired to Wiggo. http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_APKJZxOob30/SdXk_Cqk8uI/AAAAAAAAAG8/GJA-4Oc4cXY/s400/Chris+Hoy%27s+thighs

ladyram
I thought the more you cycle, up them hills like they do in the TDF, they'd develop muscles like that cos they're using them all the time? Anyhoo, check out this fascinating fact Each of Hoys thighs (27" in circumference) are bigger than steam engine pistons which are a paltry 25". TelTheRam
Check out Robert Forstemann's thighs - at 34" circumference he makes Chris Hoy look skinny. The other one is one of the top road- sprinters.
FootNut
Anyone who has side burns and can still make cycling popular should deserve a knighthood!
