rsmini
er don't think so. Think you will find Keogh cost far more than Shackell and Davies put together!! And no I have not drunk to much cooking sherry!!
DcFc Dyycheee
er don't think so. Think you will find Keogh cost far more than Shackell and Davies put together!! And no I have not drunk to much cooking sherry!! Keogh was 1.3m. Shackell was sold for 1.1m and Davies sold for 750k. Not forgetting we got money for the Luke Varney transfer for Leeds. North_Stand_Ram
We must have had some money in the pot. I reckon sammon could have been signed regardless
rsmini
Well I have heard the Keogh was more £3mill than the alleged 1.3. Remember the fee was undisclosed and stil is
Woodys woman
£3,000,000. Never in 3,000,000 years!
sage
It seems fairly obvious that the Shackell and Davies income virtually equalled the Keogh and Sammon expenditure. It also seems fairly obvious we need to trim the squad by 2 or 3 to bring one in. The speculation about which of our fringe players (Bavies, Bailey, Ball, Tyson) will leave next is the most relevant. Woodys woman
Can't see us getting more than small fees for bavies and bailey (think he's out of contract at end of season and would be a bargain for most teams outside the prem), ball would be a free or very little as don't think he's had much of a look in at cov. Tyson would, I guess, free a fair amount from the wage bill, much as I think he's deserved more game time ahead of theo at times this season, think cloughie will sacrifice him if it helps bring other players in
rsmini
Believe it or not the story recently from an un named source was 3 million. Nobody has proven that the fee for both players was as quoted at the time. Bailey will be gone in January and we have a striker lined up to come in as well. Alllegedly
Mr Tibbs
Probably why he was an "un-named" source then. Nobody knows the exact fee but I highly doubt it was anywhere near 3 million. Nothing anywhere suggests 3 million, especially Keogh's footballing ability
Luke
I've heard it was closer to £10m, from an un-named source though
