sage
They deserved it too. Not a travesty like the Chelsea game. Barca should have had one sent off and could have had two sent off. Bris, can you explain how this happened?
CumbrianRam
Fraser Forster again made a good saves, better option than Jack Butland/Rob Green for England surely?
Bris Vegas
I'd like to say congratulations to Celtic.. Despite clearly being second best all night they were as clinical as they could be (2 chances 2 goals) Luck played a massive part, once again Barca could easily have had a penalty in the first half, hit the woodwork twice and found a goalkeeper in inspired form.. These things happen.. Barca will always be the best team whoever they play, they'll always dominate chances and possession but they are beatable you just need to have the following things go for you - A strong referee who will favour a few decisions - A huge amount of luck regarding the woodwork - Be absolutely clinical by taking all your chances - Preferably score first - Count your lucky stars when they mess about - Hope that both Pique and Puyol don't start the game as they're the only worldclass defenders Barca have and are excellent at defending set-pieces - Have a goalkeeper on top top form - Give away no gifts Celtic didn't deserve to win.. They weren't the better side, they didn't play the better football and they didn't create the better chances.. But the top lot happened and they rode their luck for the night.. Miracles can happen. Barca need to invest in a Worldclass CB.. Missing out on Thiago Silva was huge..
Bris Vegas
It's crazy... For the past 2 years Barca have been so unlucky with injuries they still haven't managed to field their best side.. Over the big games against the likes of Inter Milan, Chelsea, Real Madrid where they've lost they haven't managed to field this side.. Valdes Abidal/Jordi Alba Puyol Pique Dani Alves Busquets Xavi Iniesta Villa Messi Pedro This is the greatest starting 11 that has ever played the game.. So good that when they've all played together they are practically unbeatable.. The problem Barca have had is they've missed one or two in their big games over the past 2 or 3 years.. Even that Barca team that destroyed Man Utd at Wembley missed Puyol at the back..

Bris Vegas
Barca should have had 1 maybe 2 players sent off. So did the referee really favour Celtic? No, he missed a penalty in the first half which should have gone Barcas way and a few niggly fouls which were unfortunate.. Song was terrible all night and perhaps could have gone with some sloppy challenges but that would have been extremely harsh.. As for Mascherano that wasn't a foul, if anything he was being tugged by the Celtic striker..
Bris Vegas
How many players did Celtic have missing? 5 first choice players, so that's that excuse gone. Next. What are you on about? I just mentioned that starting 11 is the best in history.. I'm hardly using it as an excuse to why Barca lost tonight.. This Barca squad is easily capable of dispatching a Celtic squad which is inferior in everyway.. Or are you suggesting Celtic are better than Barca? Bris Vegas
'Football has lost tonight.' - Bris Vegas It did.. Celtics football was embarassing.. But if it gets them qualified and gives Niel Lennon the best day of his career then fair enough.. Bernd Schuster is a far better manager than Niel will ever be and he was right when he called Celtics anit-football embarassing for the sport.. It was. randombc
I'd just know that is I was a Celtic fan I wouldn't give a damn! If they played with 11 Jonjo Shelvey's (which gives a whole new meaning to the word, winning ugly) and won, I still wouldn't care! Well done Celtic! DCFCfranco
Luck? Or are you another braindead football fan that believes whoever wins the game deserves to? Or the fact that Celtic defended well enough to see the game out. Luck probably played some part yes. But if barca were so dominant they should have made it count. And no name calling please. That's childish.
