Yeah, theres plenty of good places also, getting the Bus (National Express) from london may be slightly cheaper.. Match tickets are ridiculous prices these days. So i'd say go in the north stand or something, it's much cheaper over there (no offence people). But yeah.. If he books early he will get cheaper in places other than the North Stand because the North Stand isn't demand based pricing (due to it being the part of the ground that away fans must be charged the same ticket prices for their similar views in the South Stand)

get megabus or national express from the airport to derby or nottingham. to be fair there probably are more places to stay in nottingham than derby and it's really easy to get from nottingham to derby 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
