So do I think Warne didn’t realise he’d be available as it looked like he was off to Bolton
-
I understand plan C is in operation Niall Ennis on loan to the end of the season Ward looking very likely to be leaving on loan Smith and Gregory - not coming - Wednesday apparently wanted 100% wages + 1m loan fee for smith - 50% + 150k for Gregory
-
So Maja was explored earlier in the window and ended up going for TJJ. There’s a striker list in double figures. Also the JCH link is still not going away so watch this space. Also looking at Northern Ireland , Scotland and Non league too!

Aboah is the Norwich one I believe
-
Young strikers from Norwich and Brighton I’ve heard recently plus exploring championship players with few minutes - Gregory , Juke , Joseph at Leeds, and Maja at West Brom are some of the names I’ve heard. Oxford guy has been allegedly concentrating on summer recruitment.
-
2 striker targets - ones a small fee + ones loan ( Prem - heard three names that it could be) 1-4 players possibly going out - most likely ward and or fornah
-
“Here you go Paul a young uncovered gem” ” will he laugh at my dad jokes, accept my Netflix box set recommendations, and let me text him 24 hours a day?” ” Lee Gregory it is then gaffer”

Plan Z
-
Wycombe and another team want him on loan
-
Fornah to League 1 Ward - wants out Only new deal that looks like being signed is Collins at the moment

It’s ok a bucket of green paint and it will look fine 👍

Derby v Cheltenham Town - Match Day Thread

Three conflicting reports I’ve heard. A) he’s refused a new contract B) has a hand injury C) fallen out with Warne -
Sadly folks, the news I’m hearing isn’t great. With Wednesday dragging their heels, don’t expect any new players in. also I’m hearing Max has rejected a new contract.
-
The term legend often gets overused. For his football achievements at Derby definitely not a legend. But for me he was the definition of pride , integrity and the glue that kept us together. He stuck with us and gave his all and fought our cause. For that reason he’s another type of legend- a cult legend who brought the people of Derby together.

Does Warne deserve the vitriol aimed at him?

Spoiler alert - May 2024 😂 #derby way -
It’s no coincidence that the pair in Quantuma were investigated for fraud when handling Portsmouth’s admin.

In some aspects no we are in the top 6 in other ways , yes he does: tactically inept, stubborn, poor formation where the CMs might as well stay at home. this season I think will either go two ways 3rd - after a poor January, average feb and a good March to May 8th - we totally capitulate after no more January signings, injuries galore and a dire three months. Resulting in Warne calling it a failure that is my responsibility, being dejected and handing in his resignation. -
This is going to go either way 4-0 Derby 1-0 Cheltenham
-
Tbh I’d take Warnock’s “ I’d f*****g die for three points” approach he’d get us over the line
-
I wanted to discuss this topic because I’m really not sure about us after last night. Has the age , training and inability to sign younger players caught us up or do you think we have players who don’t have the right mentality when the pressure mounts?
-
I’ve often wondered that. derby appear to be the club version of the national team. I honestly don’t know what managers are telling the players when under a bit of pressure but it appears either putting so much pressure on them or either the opposite not enough
-
I’d do the following: •offer Bird to the highest bidder • pull out of the smith talks • put the money towards the midfield
-
The rot begins prediction 2 points from the next 10 games
