Just heard we offered £200,000 for Lee Gregory, apparently their chairman wanted £260,000 and we said no. The Wednesday chairman then told Gregory that if he wanted to go he would have to pay him the £60,000. Now he’s got to pay his wages till the end of the season.

That game in 1975 was the 26th of April, this year it’s one day later. I was there that day, it would be nice to repeat it this season with my son and grandson by my side.

Barnsley tickets have gone on sale this morning to 15+ members. Even though they know we are going to sell as many tickets as they give us they have at the moment only opened up the top half of the stand excluding the two end blocks. It does mean however that anyone wanting to be high up and central will get first choice, which is bad news for me personally as I am waiting for the all members category so I can take my son and grandson. Incidentally, the tickets for all members go on sale on Monday morning when hopefully I’ll be halfway to Exeter. Not easy being a superfan 😂

They are already almost sold out with only just over 100 tickets left in the home end. They are also selling a limited amount of season tickets in the Milton end so we won’t get the whole stand, so quite possibly the allocation of 2,153 given to Charlton will be the full allocation. I’m not concerned with it being moved to a lunchtime or evening kickoff but am mindful they could move it to Tuesday evening, not good when I’ve booked the hotel for Sunday and Monday night 😧

Just looking at the under 21s fixtures and I noticed the last game of the season against Everton is at Matlocks ground on Sunday 28th of April with a 1 pm kickoff, the day after the first team season finishes. Celebration party in Matlock ?
