You said if we continue with our massive losses.
Having not released any accounts since 2018, I was just wondering how you have measured our losses?
Genuine question.
Surely the fact nobody wants to buy you is indication of how bad your losses are?
Rooney alone must be on 80k+. Obviously depends on how much 32red are still paying of it...yet another dodgy deal.

We're in for him apparently. Is he any good? Can't say I've heard of him to be honest.

Lots of ifs and buts.
But IF we can get the takeover done, retain the current players, retain the coaching staff and start on zero points, there is no reason why we can’t bounce right back.
I mentioned previously without the deductions we would have finished 17th. Out best XI is the best XI to have ever gone down to League One. That’s not trying to be arrogant, it’s a mere fact that every other relegated side hadn’t accumulated as many Championship points.
But unless we get the takeover sorted, next season could be a struggle.
How much is Rooney on though, that must eat up a huge amount of money that could go on players?

There’s local business people who’ve stated that they won’t let Derby be liquidated. If no buyer is found money will be lent to complete the season whilst a full time owner is found.
Unfortunately for you lot, we aren’t going out of business, soz.
Which I'm actually glad about. Don't want you lot to go under. Can't speak for all fans but I couldn't give a flying about Leicester to be honest, as much as they want to create something.
A few years down in the lower leagues might sort you out though, and I've seen quite a few comments in your main forum and on social media about walking promotion. League One is a hell of a tough league and you'll either start on -15 or have the budget to only sign unwanted/non league standard players, or both. Can't see you coming back anytime soon even if we drop back down next year.

A bit like the season that we got promoted and you lost to Yeovil in the play offs. Must’ve felt pretty crap back then. The tables turned pretty quickly though. Football goes in cycles. Enjoy your moment in the son. We’ll probably resume our circling round the toilet bowl of the championship pretending we’re somehow better than each other before too long.
That's if you're still in existence by then...

Genuine question now:
Who will finish higher in their respective league, Derby or Forest?
We'll struggle I'm sure and I'd rip your arm off now for 17th, so will Derby finish higher than 17th?*
*in League One obviously, doesnt count if you're put down into the Vanarama North and rip it up.

Righto
The second watershed was the sale of Oliver Burke earlier this year. The teenager had inspired three home wins in August alone and there was a small flicker of hope. The sale of Burke extinguished not only any hope for the season, but also all remaining support for the ownership. Without hope, the gates began to fall once again – down to 15,864 against Preston just recently – the worst attendance since the League One days.
A long-standing (and now former) season ticket holder told me that he had accepted that Forest had become a mere feeder club. He complained that any quality player would be quickly snapped up by richer teams after a handful of games. I could completely see his point and there’s no doubt that the sales of Burke and Michail Antonio must’ve persuaded many other fans to reassess their priorities if even the ownership was lacking ambition.
?
So because 6 years ago when the fan's patience had been finally worn we got under 16k it means we couldn't easily surpass 30k now? Brilliant.
Lots can happen in 6 years, Derby of all clubs should know that..

Bias aside, I think they have very little chance of survival. They aren’t as good as Fulham, while not one of their players would get into Southampton’s starting XI who they must view as a potential team to overtake.
I think their only battle this season will be with Bournemouth and who finishes bottom.
If the season was to start tomorrow I would agree. Impossible to say though how we'll do though at this point before a single player has walked through the door.

I remember when we got promoted and our then chairman said "We will take the Premier League by a storm, we are not there to make the numbers up"!!.
Yeah, chairman talk a load ashite.
Good luck with that.
Yeah I certainly won't be accepting us as established Premier league. Massive, massive task to get competitive and stay up.
We've been linked with every man and his dog as agents are looking at our situation and going mad with excitement but it's mostly just paper talk I'm sure. Cooper and the team have shown so far that they're very good at keeping things under wraps until the last moment and signings usually come out of nowhere.

'Club'? or 'Squad'?
Buying our Squad 3 times over will be easy!
Both, if you like.
We're literally swimming with cash now...
Might throw you a few pennies this summer for a few young players you have. Doing our bit to help you lot keep the lights on.

Yeah I mean banter aside, 50k would be ridiculous, 4pm suns been out, guessing alcohol is involved.
To be fair, a quick look in the replies it’s not something many agree with.
Nobody sensible would suggest 50k.
I think if the capacity was 40k we'd sell out more often than not though in the top flight, or at least be regularly hitting 37k+.One things for sure, what we have at the moment isnt enough.

They need strikers too. Johnson will provide plenty of ammo if he stays, but what they have at the moment won't get them far. They also need a top quality left-back, and their CBs look a bit pedestrian for the PL. Apart from that, they'll be fine ?
Plenty of players will be coming in don't worry.
With what we'll be spending this summer we could buy your entire club 2 or 3 times over.

Transfer window opens tomorrow so I'd expect a few new players in by the end of the week. Feels good to be able to plan for next season...?

If you look at the squad here listed without the loans, it is very threadbare in terms of quality. A few players out of contract as well. A lot of work to do.
We've got a few u23s available for loan actually if you need a hand putting out a side in August.
Be easy for us to keep tabs on them too playing for your lot over at Meadow Lane every other week.

Ah yes, I forgot every team in the league won their first 7 games except Forest. But being 9 points behind the playoffs with 114 still to play for when Cooper took over really is one of the greatest footballing stories of all time.

Any news on buying Lowe? How much are Utd asking for him? I think we’ve got a sell on clause. Make it a big offer.
Someone on our forum suggested £8m. No chance we'd pay that. Maybe £3m tops.
To be honest I'm not sure he'd cut it in the Premier League, perhaps as a back up but he's been injured a lot this season.
-
We basically gave the league a 21 point head start as well with Hughton in charge and still walked promotion.
Just trying to think if any other clubs needed to make back 21 points and how they got on...
