Even if there is some kind of announcement (I'd be amazed), everyone's going to be pretty wary...
It will probably be something along the lines of "Own the Turf" where the club ask the fans to pay for the pitch.

I would get rid of all 3 did nothing at all last season.
Have to ask the "why" here though, don't we? I don't think the first team in general did anything last season, doesn't mean we can just get rid.

There are three players with differing issues and a lot of potential.
Does anyone know if we still have a sports psychologist? I know we used to have one.
Duncan - seems to think he made it without making anything. Looks like he had a lot of bad advice, would probably benefit from a League 1 loan to see if he can hit the target a bit - depends if his ego would allow it.
Ibe - I think the odds of him playing for Derby are low. Nobody wants this to be the case, does he need an arm around him? A mentor? Can't we send him to live with Curtis Davies or Jonno? If he gets his head right and is shown some love, he could be immense. It's a big IF. Part of me wouldn't be surprised if he's cut in the coming weeks.
Marriott - Almost feels a bit similar to Ibe. Rooney 'wrote' last weekend that he got rid of some players in January that he didn't feel were positive for the club. Marriott obviously close to Duane Holmes, Jack's wife being the sister of Duane's Mrs, I believe.
For me, if these three are part of the retained list, get them playing. Give them a run. It's the only way.

I think I’d like our manufacturer to be Errea if I had a choice. Always seem to make simple but attractive shirts.
Is this some kind of sick joke?

Ah, you miss the point. Nothing to do with young Harry. Good luck to him. Right place, right time and all that.
Jono suggested a little higher that Mel was let down by others in player recruitment, contracts, etc. I am just pointing out that Mel brought most of his problems upon himself by appointing the wrong people. Harry Croft may well prove to be the best recruiter Derby have ever had, but he didn't seem to do much to justify his appointment, other than share a regular convivial muesli and orange juice breakfast with his father-in-law.
I think Harry Croft is actually Mel's step son.

Haha yep!
If I remember correctly, it was his then-wife Jill who dropped BD off in the chopper. They since divorced. I think Marples had to sell his house at Morley (https://www.derbytelegraph.co.uk/news/Derby-news/Derby-3aaa-2126094) and also his place in Florida (https://www.derbytelegraph.co.uk/news/Derby-news/founder-collapsed-Derby-firm-3aaa-2151705).
He seems to have a major beef with MM over something. They were both shareholders in the club around 2006 if my memory serves me...
Anyway, here he is on Companies House, man's dissolved more companies than Tony Adams has dissolved aspirin.

I have a feeling this might spark someone like Gadsby to get involved.
Categorically not happening.

I’m optimistic about this but I need a bit more information before I get carried away.
When the EFL have ratified the deal and we have avoided relegation it will start to get a bit exciting.
It does feel a bit cart before the horse now. I expected the amortisation thing to be wrapped up by now, and you'd assume that the impending outcome of that would have a bearing on the shape of the takeover.
-
I'm not sure why you think the (less than competent) EFL would rule him out?
Disqualifying Events
The Premier League has tighter restrictions than the Football League or National League. In general, a businessman will fail the test if:
- They have power or influence over another Football League club
- They hold a significant interest in another Football League club
- They become prohibited by law from being a director
- They are filing for bankruptcy
- They have been director of a club while it has suffered two or more unconnected events of insolvency
- They have been a director of two or more clubs of which, while they have been director, has suffered an event of insolvency
