Take a hiatus from the forum as I did. Sounds an extreme measure but I did it for my own mental wellbeing as reading the same comments from the same posters together with the sad predictability of the Eurovision-esque emojis reactions garnished was more than not just fun anymore; it was damaging.

The sad fact is you're unable to answer as there are no polls or stats to back up your assertions. Which is why no one else is jumping in to help you out either.

As @sage would say show me the latest polling numbers from all Derby fans with the breakdown of how many expect promotion this season as a minimum. I've always said that a finish outside of the Top 6 would be a failure as have other forum members but then you tout your own opinion as fact by saying that the jury remains out and Warne will only have done well if he gets us promoted and keeps us up - again point me to the poll of Derby fans making this statement? The back and forth will only settle down as you state when posts like these disappear from the forum, simple as, and it's the main reason I've been absent from here for so long.

I think we're delving into the realms of semantics again as another poster has already commented on, abuse is abuse. I can only refer you to the abusive comments directed at myself which were subsequently deleted by the mods, quite rightly too as you said.

Just think about what you're saying here....any "abuse" will be deleted by the mods so it's pretty much impossible to cite any such examples from the forum or by definition it wouldn't be abusive. Happy to DM you some examples of abusive comments aimed at myself which subsequently were deleted by the mods together with the offending forum member as I really don't want to start naming folks on here and stir up another hornets nest.

I didn't understand the relevance of the comment that we've not been in the Top 6 yet with only 16 games played? Am sure that Oxford fans for example will take great solace in the fact that if they fall out of the Top 2 at the end of the season but they were in the top 2 places for the majority of the season? It counts for nothing. But yes I agree that us not finishing in the top 6 at the end of the season won't be acceptable.

I didn't realise promotion was guaranteed after a third of the league season has been played, you and 3 other forum members it seems are also firm in this belief 😅
