If CBT doesn’t now get a run out one has to wonder why on earth we bought him at all… certainly in January for a supposed fillip to the team/squad for the run-in…

Played a massive part in that last-gasp winner at Port Vale last season- one of the great goals in terms of the atmosphere etc. So wish him well 👍

I thought Wilson’s actions after he had scored were interesting … why did he sorta half stop when running away to the crowd and look behind him as if to check something?? Was he checking to see if Waggy was claiming it ????

To be honest I think Pompey are gone- they strengthened so well… Think we just need to concentrate on second place autos… have to beat Bolton and not lose to Barnsley.

Isn’t it only one win in the last 7 games there or something !!? I want us to set up like last Saturday - try and blunt their edge and then go for it in the last 25 mins. A draw will be fine .

Gayle was (still is ?) the better footballer. But to be honest if I had known that Collins was going to be out it would have been Smith. A better version of Collo that would have enabled us to keep playing the same way i.e. little disruption and better continuity imho. To get the best from Gayle (playing as a sole striker as opposed to the normal two) will mean that we will have to change how we play a bit. Yes, in theory (and hopefully) NML, Barks etc can feed in to him, but it will take a little time to gel. In all honesty i can see PW setting us up at Barnsley like he did on satdee and to me that would make a lot of sense. We certainly want to blunt them early on and then maybe look to change at 60 mins again (depending how the game is going) and bring Gayle on for the last 25 mins. To my mind this is one game where we just don’t want to lose.

Not yet. But quite why they need to delay the decision I don’t know. If DG’s wages are no more than Bird’s then it should be an automatic approval- barring that bias of course 🤷😳😎

I agree re Barnsley. I am actually more worried about them than Bolton to be honest. We must NOT lose to them. The only slight consolation is that, like us, they aren’t playing very well at home. But whenever I’ve been there we have been crap and soundly beaten…😳🤷 They play us and Bolton in quick succession- if they win both of those then suddenly they are really looking good….

I have a sneaking suspicion we may end up pulling for Pompey in many of these games…. Accept that they will be top and let them damage the other teams going for second place… which we will take 😎🐏 Don’t care if we aren’t Champions…. Just want to escape this league.

Just only need draws min at Pompey and Barnsley (we have great records at those grounds, not) and beat Bolton at home. Only. 😃 With so many of the top teams playing each other there will be many ups and downs… as others have said , we just need to treat every game as a must-win…
