Emil Riis Jakobsen was released from our academy and deemed not good enough. He went back to Randers in Denmark and now finds himself playing in the league above us with Preston. My point being, don't judge a player too harshly too early, they may turn out better than you think.

Some real tongue twisters in there, and some dodgy middle names.

Looks an exciting young player, maybe one to provide cover for Mendez-Laing.

I'm sure he can find plenty of temporary work during the 6 week holidays. Shop work, pizza delivery guy etc. etc.

Logical move loaning him out even though it's Birmingham. He was going to miss 2-3 months with the World Cup anyway and the first few weeks of the season. Add to this his appalling injury record since he joined us. No point in paying a player 20k in wages a week in the league 1 in those circumstances.
Hopefully getting a substantial amount of savings on his wages allows us to get the 4-5 players of sufficient quality we need to bolster the squad.
My thoughts exactly, had he stayed with us there's no guarantee he'd have been available for selection for a sizeable amount of the season.

So thats:
10 perm
1 loan
3 new contracts
All in the space of 2 weeks
Bloody impressive
Out of 10 it gets a 9 from me. Get Fozzy signed and it makes it a 9.5
Thompson, Cashin, Davies and Stearman have renewed so that's 4.

What position do you play?
Judging by the name, he is/was obviously a striker.

Needs a good run of games in his preferred position not cameos and occasional starts when we’re either chasing the game or he’s playing down one of the flanks in my opinion. Get him down the middle.
I’m speaking from experience. He’s currently 88 rated in my fifa 20 career and we win the premier league in 2025 with Sibley scoring 30 and assisting 20 odd. We then sign an ageing Salah, Messi, Van Dijk, Saka and Luke Shaw for a first attempt at the champions league after winning the europa league the season before. It’s on lads, you heard it here first ?
It takes you 5 seasons to have a crack at the Champion's League? Also don't get ageing players unless on a free and you plan to sell them immediately.

£400,000 should be enough to get a half decent League 1 level replacement.

Sorry, quoted the wrong question above ???

Okay, so just in case anybody has missed this point in the last 2000 or so pages......If Clewes or any other potential new owner offers to pay the creditors either 25p in the pound (25%),on what they are owed up front, or £35p in the pound(35%), over a period of 3 years then we don't start the season on - 15 points.
As of yet, i think it's only Alan Nixon who claims that it's 25p in the pound (25%)up front in the offer from Clewes. If true then no points deduction to begin with.... to begin with there will be no points deduction.... Derby County will start the 2023-23 season in League 1 on zero points (0), just like everybody else in the division, (who will also be starting on zero or 0 points) ...... Unless the EFL make up a new rule, or choose to punish another club in the meantime.

Good news if true. Makes sense to put contracts in front of players already at the club because then they have a value. Kirchner could potentially sign all the out of contract players up to longer deals, then sell a couple in a year or 2's time and get back nearly all of the money he's paying for the club.

I was just wondering if that was a caravan park in the top right corner of the Morecambe picture ?

What If derby build new ground like I said a while ago what if we built new BBG but were in derby could we build it with opaption to fill the corners in.
Finding the available space, the time to build it and, (most importantly), the money would prove to be significant obstacles. Everybody jokes about playing on public parks in the meantime but there are certain requirements that a football league ground has to adhere to (surely?)
