    From the same tome :
Why do elephants paint their testicles red ? So they can hide in the high, high cherry trees.
What's the loudest noise in the jungle ? Giraffes eating cherries.

Miller and McLeish were the closest thing to McFarland and Todd that I've ever had the joy to watch. But still after all these years I can't say Come on You R@ds. Keep it sheep.

I'm keen, but do have the prospect of the young un's 21st on the 3rd. Looking at seeing the Bunnymen in Utrecht with a few days in the Dam.
The second weekend a definite possibility. And there's a Brewdog in the student quarters of Sheffield (if we're not drinking Thornbridge in the Tap with the local Rams).

Spent a lot of time in Scotland and shockingly have never been to Aberdeen. What a day that would be if the Rams came to town and the chance to watch and have a drink and discuss bands with @Inverurie Ram? I just checked and it's a direct  from my lovely local airport so less than 3 hours door-to-door including the wait time. Not that much different from Pride Park!
Just call my name and I'll be there.

Worth checking out Fierce, Craftsman and CASC too. Only perhaps not tonight.
Suspect Jeff will emerge victorious at Turf Moor, but the Dandies were not disgraced tonight.

Good pub for starting the night off. Used to do the best plate of stovies straight from the urn.
Any decent pub crawl round town revolved around the grill, and it attracted the nightclub boys and boys out for a 1 pub session.
I remember the uproar when they decided to put womans toilets in (around 1998) . The regulars were boycotting for months.
    Happy days

Does anyone think it would actually be great moving house to Aberdeen just to join the Aberdeenshire Rams? I imagine every televised match is just a heady cocktail of beers, Rams and predominately scottish indie anthems.
You can probably watch all the games on Ramsplayer too, what with it been foreign too.

Ahhhhhh where to start. Read this post yesterday and decided to have a good think first.....
Opening match for me is 1970 freezing cold 4-4 draw with Law; Best n Charlton...Les Green in goal for us and Ive read in later years that this was the game that Peter Taylor decided Les had to go..... I dont remember this day in colour at all. Me and my grandad on the corporation bus from Breadsall Hilltop into town....my grandad with his park drives non filter smoking on the bus.... fish cake and batter bits on Shaftsbury Street for the first time but most certainly not the last.
Another one sticks crazy in the mind is the fog v Burnley..night game...Mark Patterson scores a screamer, goal of his career...then he breaks his leg, the fog descends and the game is called off. Poor lad cant even claim the goal.
Gazza kicking the buckets of water all over....
Penalty spot being re painted v Citeh..Big Joe Corrigan trying to argue the length with the ref....
In sheer awe of the class of David Nish.... Just about every game.
Being REALLY REALLY glad that I never had to play v Mick Harford.
But I think the game that stays with me as one of the most amazing was a loss actually.... 89 or 90 Im sure... Derby 4 - Chelsea 6. And if my memory serves me correctly we were 1-4 down with 15 mins to go. Never for get that one....
Wouldnt sway my memories or supporting this club alongside you lot for owt.... its not being boring has it.

    I'm in that photo.
I can remember that day so well. 25 of us got on the train from Utch, another 20 odd got on at Tutbury & Hatton, There was a few Carlisle United fans on we chatted to. They was already relegated but wanted to be at the match that would crown the Champions, history they said, Derby County were the best team in the land for the 2nd time in 3 years and they wanted to pay tribute to their own team but also pay respect to the new champions of England.
The match itself was poor, The Derby players were a bit hungover, the sun was blazing down and it became a celebration rather than a football match.
We all prepared to invade the pitch at the end, the old bill pretended to stop us but gracefully gave way when the thousands just climbed over the billboards and low fences and strolled past them....
"We are the Champions, the Champions of England"
"We won the league, we won the league, ee ay adio we won the league"
    "Champions! Champions! Champions!"

Exactly my position Inglorious. I am high functioning and diagnosed recently although I've managed to live a reasonably 'normal' life up to now having a partner and kid who aren't on the spectrum. I find I have a tendency to think that whatever I think or say then i'm right and everyone else is wrong but i'm learning to accept that others have other opinions that are equally as valid. I also have a strong desire to see people who commit the most innocuous of 'crimes' such as parking in a disabled bay when they aren't disabled told about it and punished. It's just something that drives me. If it's wrong then it's wrong and often with the unfathomable behaviour of many other people, day to day life is tricky as i'm always getting annoyed at people who don't do the right thing and I've been in scuffles and arguments about this with strangers many times.
At times you do feel like you don't belong on earth and you are a complete different species and something that makes perfect sense to you doesn't seem so clear cut to others not on the spectrum and it is frustrating. I don't avoid human contact but I do prefer either people who pretty much think and act like me or people who basically just don't annoy me. I'm pretty judgemental which means I haven't really made as many close friends as I could have over my 20 years of working. If someone is into enough stuff that I find trivial then I cannot get past pleasantries. It's tough but learning all the time.
Chin up mate. Just gotta keep plodding along with it, managing and trying to push yourself as much as you can.
