  1. I haven’t enjoyed his football more than Rooney and roseniorball one bit!! I definitely haven’t enjoyed his interviews more either
  2. I know a lot of people wanted a Wembley final in the papa johns blue Peter western Holmes community standium cup BUT if we hadn’t have kept playing first teamers and we had rested them .. so when I hear it’s the players who play poorly .. kind of think the manager must take his share of the blame. he specifically said at the end of last year he played the same olaywrs too often. PLAY LIAM THOMPSON you stubborn short sighted man!! (Sorry but he does my head in - the crap football is pathetic. It’s embarrassing. Tedious. If he doesn’t want to play football like Liam that’s fine but what the f@@k is this we keep seeing. There’s a world of difference to structured gameplay move the ball forward football. This is kick it and run. That’s why there was boos at half time (I assume). my boys team at 11 years old have a better structure and game plan. well played Louis Sibley Great goal Collo - fair play Max - great strike
  3. FB just posted a picture of The number 27 short in the green kit with Blackett Taylor’s name on it on a changing room peg ..
  4. Come on Derby - one before half time!!
  5. Must be something in the water round here. Loved him at Luton .. have been disappointed but ladies and gentleman we have a new number 9 in the house. That hat trick against Wolves U21s did him the world of good. improving performances ever since. Well done JC. he loves scoring.
  6. Good signing sounds like a great guy and love his performances on the pitch can definitely play in the champ if we go up too!
  7. Echo the positive sentiments and scuffed it’s 18 months. Sorted nice and early - we like that.
  8. Very glad Nyambe has extended - if we go up would definitely want to offer him a new contract - best years ahead of him!
  9. Merry Christmas everyone of you. fingers crossed we can keep this run going over the next three games (and beyond obvs)
  10. Thought Warne did well tonight. Good decisions. As someone else said his interview made a lot of sense too. good goals. Sibley Wilson cashin and Nelson played well. personally thought Collins was fine and did finsih well which was good to see. 13 goals (admittedly a fair few in Papa johns pop idol st Johnstones paint confederations cup) wish we didn’t flaming drop those two pints .. January on and off the pitch vital but so are these next three games good to see thommo back - another rnidfield option hapoy Christmas you filthy animals hope you are all well and enjoy the next weeks or so DTID
  11. The OP ended by asking what we can do? About the general trend of any/most threads descending on to polarised bickering - of which I have played my part but hope/believe that I have not been rude or offensive - and it’s something I was thinking myself. I’ve followed Derby since I could kick a ball and I’ve always always been a staunch happy clapping Derby county supporter. Regardless of manager, form or division. For a couple of reasons I’m no longer a happy clapper (No offence intended just using the term as it has been the point of reference used historically). I find myself less tolerant this season. as a forum member for a while I was happy to read and it contribute but I am finding myself being trigger happy with posts. so other than reflecting and applying learnings how do we get back to enjoying the forum as it used to be a right laugh coming on here and reading what other Derby fans had written as there aren’t that many in these parts (one love East Anglian Rams fans!!)
  12. Surprised by your comments here Jono and disappointed .. the patronising bit was where you say someone has know all entitled medals not the fact that you hold a differing opinion. unless of course you were bing highly ironic and I missed it …
  13. Errr … there’s a middle ground…. I taken PWs quote and offered an alternative based on his words so whilst you’re correct to condemn insincere management content .. not sure how that’s relevant here Also … he doesn’t relate to me .. am I not real then?
  14. Can’t understand why it’s not a straightforward - “yes really pleased for Louis and what a strike it was .. we’ve played him in various positions and he’s always worked hard for the team but obviously enjoyed playing the 10/8 today. he was a real handful today and performed well great to have selection problems and it’s that attacking intent we’ve been building on which has enabled us to go on this run supported by what is currently the best defence in the league”
  15. Perfectly put @Anag Ram have thought this for a while. I love mangers and players having personality and displaying it but when PW does it I often find myself thinking why say that? Ie why say Barks scored a screamer? I know it might seem innocuous but I can’t help but think that behind the scenes he has similar traits that may not directly determine our season but I can’t help thinking a different approach (ie great to see barks get off the mark - works so hard in training/such a valuable member of the squad/reward for making g the run alongside Nat and not leaving him to it….) might provide more benefit somehow. can’t out my finger on it .. but just simply unnecessary
  16. Hey CongeltonRam lets get this straight - I can not want PW as manager of Derby County and not hate him. Flaming hell man. what an assumption that is. we don’t have to fight fire with fire but you can if you want obviously I’ve put on here previously I’ve met PW and found him to be a really down to earth nice bloke. Far more genuine than the interviews - that’s my opinion. I have always written on this forum that with three promotions you can’t really deny he is a good manager. my issue is that from what I have seen and for various reasons I don’t think he’s the right manager for Derby county. That doesn’t mean I dislike him or think he is a poor manager. (Didn’t like his Mardiness though in the interviews) It seems clear he has changed/modified his tactics to go through the middle as an option, to play more football as well as pinball wizard and the crosses are so much better now. Selection makes more sense now too - mostly! if we had started the season like this there wouldn’t have been the ‘outcry’ at some really tough performances to watch. Now we are seeing what we knew could and should have been, in my opinion, seeing performance wise it’s fair for us that would prefer a different manager to acknowledge the improvement without throwing a party as we feel there is still room to grow and we are still baffled by some of his decision making that makes me worry that the current improvement is potentially temporary (it may not be- I hope it isn’t) as it’s not his natural fit and he may revert back once he is back on solid ground - so to speak. I hate rishi Boris etc but I don’t hate real people. never hated anyone in Black and white and never will. God forbid. DTID
  17. 100% spot on. most of the criticism aimed at Warne he has addressed. Playing through the midfield, much better crossing etc as outlined by Davesaram we were right to criticise this as PW outlined in several interviews that he had given that directive. it would appear that is not his directive et voila - more goals and improved football. I still think we have another gear to go and could dominate the league if we wanted to. it’s funny when we criticised after a win we were asked why we couldn’t just enjoy the win!! a few happy clappers today could ask themselves the same question.
  18. You’re obviously enjoying yourself. Go you.
  19. Smug and antagonistic were the words that sprang to my mind
  20. That would me too! Must have missed that one! Is that what that meme of the two animals meant with one walking backwards? perfectly acceptable for that to be challenged but not necessarily the rest of the comments
  21. Decent win. Nice finishes for all goals. TJJ .. quality. Hmmm. I’d be happy if he stayed fit for the rest of the season and just played the last 20 mins in each game! Wilson is having a really good season. Always catches the eye and works hard. He’s only going to get better. I think the people that are criticising/ridiculing those that have raised concerns or still aren’t convinced by Warne are being a bit keen. it’s not unusual for someone to point out the odd error or ask for more. That’s ok. It really is. even if we did win 3-0. no one has been rude, offensive or totally unreasonable. They’re voicing their opinions and views…cough.. the point of the forum. the ‘non moaners’ are getting a little snide in my opinion. There’s lots to be happier about for sure. Injured players coming back, the football has improved, we are getting results and scoring goals. but there is still plenty that we could improve in and Warne hasn’t convinced me or a fair few others (no idea how to quantify) and it’s ok if we say it. You don’t have to agree or like it. You also don’t have to shoot it down. same as the ‘moaners’ shouldn’t ridicule or be rude to the ‘non moaners’ good to see ward back and again showing that he can impact us up front. With Nyambe only here til Jan and away at the African cup of nations if he extends his context with us it would be useful for Ward to have been involved in some games. Before he got injured he was playing well I thought. it’s a shame elder is struggling with injury as I’d like to see more of him (no clue if he’s good or not) and give Fozzie a rest.
  22. You’re too kind. I was acknowledging the great man that’s all, having a bit of fun. Some of the touches were lovely. Sibley, Washington, Bird even NML would love playing into him. It was a good header. If that didn’t rekindle anything .. even for a moment… then you Sir are cold. Collins did ok. One nice bit of skill in particular. Out of position a few times but still an improved performance on those before his recent goal spree. Your post was good throughout. Well done and keep it up young man.
  23. Well done Fornah. Well done NML. Johnnie Cash and Willie Nelson are a great partnership. good to see Waggy get some minutes. good to see TJJ in the squad. would thommo bird and fornah work? Wilson makes an impact on every game. A positive one at that. Barks doesn’t. Feel sorry for Washington he’s been a good option. Hope he’s back soon. Still feel that if we had 4 strikers available he’d still bring Bradley on!! Martin showed some nice touches ❤️
