  1. I was on the front row and the incident was right in front of me. Both players were forehead to forehead then Bradley sort of made a much more forceful movement forward. Definitely a red card however their player should have been booked. He also threw himself to the floor clutching his face and then as soon as red card came out he got up. That’s what I seem to recall of the incident

  2. I wonder how many decisions across every game are based on “I think he did” or i “think he didn’t”.

I suppose it’s easy to say referees shouldn’t think like that but obviously they do. We all do that when watching a game

  3. We’ll took two guys to 5 away last season. Went to get them memberships and they said one went to. 5 the other sent to 3. I explained they both went to 5. They then said I got 2 of the tickets for someone with the same name but different ID. Asked if other was also disabled they said no but gave me the carer tickets. To cut a long story short they won’t honour both as 5 away last season. Madness

  4. Before the season started I said to my mate that we need to tread water this season. My worry is we are under a strict business plan for this year and next. We won’t compete in the championship under the current restrictions(In my opinion), would they be relaxed a bit if we got promoted this season- who knows. Tough on us fans but we are where we are, the EFL rules mean we wouldn’t be competing on an even footing atm

Good idea but unless you are thinking about this as a business venture i am wondering if anybody has approached the club about resurrecting the Roadrider in some form or another. Now that we are on a more stable footing the club might be thinking about this a bit more favourably. Good luck anyway.

I could actually run it through my current business. I only considered this yesterday so I’ve still got a lot of work to do on it. The initial outlay for the first couple maybe my biggest worries. Was thinking of maybe approaching Derby for an initial chat

If it's organised you'll have to be in dialogue with the football police to coordinate the time of stops, where you're stopping, the route you're taking and the estimated arrival time to each ground. Lots of things to organise etc that you wouldn't exactly think about from the off. Probably best to email the supporters liaison officer to enquire about this and ways of going about it. Parking at the stadium could be discussed too, people on the various branch coaches park there for away games.

A friend of mine recently organised a coach for his daughter's dance school to go to a competition in London, with petrol prices and labour costs going up they were looking at over £2000 for the full day out. Just covering costs on a 50 odd seater you're at £40 each. That was for a multi stop pickup in the early morning, drive to the Excel in London then pickup again in the early evening to arrive back around 9/10pm. I'd imagine an away day, pick up in the morning from PPS, travel and stop off, arriving at the away ground, game, then return travel would be a similar full day out so cost similar money.

I'm sure the supporters branches like Alfreton and the like how long standing relationships with the coach companies to get preferential rates but still I'm sure their costs have rocketed this season with the fuel crisis.

Had a few quotes and grounds around a hundred miles away are coming in at £1000. That’s for a 50 seat bus.
I’ve been organising/sourcing trips/holidays etc for small groups of people for the last 12years or so, so have a bit of an understanding of what’s involved. The danger with larger groups is everything costs more to pay for, before you get any money in

  7. No I’m not a driver but have been looking how much to hire a coach and have some prices just need to work out how to go about getting punters. Maybe run a free membership scheme si I can email folk.
Issue for me would be the small window between ticket availability and the games

  8. I’m looking at the feasibility of organising coach travel, from Pride Park, for away games.
It would initially be for the larger away capacity grounds.
Do you guys think it’s not unreasonable to expect one could get between 50 & 100 people who would use it. Costs would be roughly what road rider charged.

  9. Where this is farcical is for 10 years we’ve been going to 15-20 away games every season. Then covid hit then Shen we came back a few of the guys I take couldn’t make games due to covid. Last season we only made 3 away due to above do basically now we can only realistically get when season tickets can ?‍♂️?‍♂️

Watching the CL Final last night I was struck by how few throw-ins there were. The quality of the passing was so very high.

I often do throw ins on the bet builders if I’m having a bet. In one of the games involving Florest there where nearly 90 throw ins that’s loads more than I’d seen before. It’s definitely true about the quality the lower down the leagues you go. It’s also surprising how few off sides aswell

I hope they had their trainers on, Some tasty lads used/go in there, I remember Damon Hague and Clifton Mitchel going in there after losing to Carl Froch, Damon had heard that 1-2 were calling him out, He went in...a bit like the Old Wild West Saloons, The place went quiet, Damon asks...who's been gobbing off, They all look at him...shrug their shoulders and said "not me" lol

Only a story I heard, But rubber stamped by others later...?

Clifton was in the DRI when he injured himself playing American Football. I had had my arm fractured playing football and was having it played. The nurse came in with our dinner and I took the plate of fish n chips Clifton then pipped up and said whose eaten my fish n chips needless to say I didn’t own up ?

This is what happens when you leave 11 year olds alone in hotels, to go drinking... They turn into yobs before they leave school!

    Lifetime ban for the schoolboy.
£100m fine for Fester, for not controlling their fans.
22pt deduction for the home club, for not training their stewards properly, and allowing this to happen.
22pt deduction for Boro, because if one of their fans hadn't left their son alone in a Manchester hotel... etc, etc...

Can’t have hit em very hard didn’t see any player rolling around on the floor for 10mins.

jail time and lifetime ban what an idiot

  13. So when a club gets relegated from the prem they come down with parachute payments, so they can cope with loss of revenue(is that correct).

why then when they sell a high earner for big bucks and for a big fee then sign someone for lower fee and wages. Do they have to give any of that “profit” back?

If 1000 people go what is the chance of no damage to property or worse ? Peaceful protest is good but some who turn up will want it to turn ugly.

That’s always the problem unfortunately. Rarely do these things pass without incident
