  1. Don’t understand the Fornah thing. He always looks useful and front foot when he’s on the pitch. Got good feet too. Not enough of our team have the best close control. Fornah has a good touch.
  2. Well that looks like 4 at the back Seems like 442 ? With JJ and Collo up front ? NML/Wilson wide and Bird Hourihan in the middle ?
  3. And you know that for a fact ? And you recognise that PL clubs have around 100 times the budget that we have ? And that 100 times isn’t hyperbole it’s real ! Honestly, wake up. I don’t think I have ever seen a post so entitled, plain ignorant (and lacking intelligence, perspective and plain common sense. ) Look at what you have written. Think man. You sound like an 18 year old that says I can drive, I ought to be able to have a Ferrari, it’s not fair.
  4. “We” has become manager speak everywhere now. I suspect that in the better clubs this really is true. There is so much data available to managers that needs to be obtained and acted on that a coaching “team” means more than it ever has done.
  5. I suspect every uncovered sports ground in the country has the same problem including in the PL. Do you live in a VR world ? Would that intervention be something along the lines of Moses ? Nature is powerful and whilst technology can solve many things, there are limits, along with budgets and the basic fact that soil is porous, and gets wet when it rains. In case you hadn’t noticed it has rained quite a lot recently.
  6. I think that’s exactly when you rest him so he’s up to speed when we really need him ? I suppose it depends what they’ve got. Know nothing about Fleetwood except the trams, the smell of fish and there’s a plaque to the Earl Of Derby on the sea front
  7. Hummm. I don’t see him as weak. He gave as good as he got v Peterborough. Not a granite brick like Cash but no featherweight. But yes his touch is a cut above. There were a couple of passages on the left close to the bye line where the control and short pass were just plain class
  8. Interesting. My Nephew tells me Luton Today says we are amongst the interested clubs for Joe. I can’t find anything yet other than Bolton wanting him. A 23 year old who’s scored 12 for a side near the bottom sounds more than worth a look.
  9. Not sure I agree. Warne appreciates Birds abilities but hasn’t yet found the best way to use them. I never understood why Rowett seemed anti Hughes but maybe it was a money thing Bird didn’t have a good game today but he is certainly good footballer. There aren’t enough in our team that have the vision to compliment his skills. I would like to see Fornah a bit more often. He is instinctive with good feet and might suit Bird better in the middle
  10. Indeed, 👍🏼. Then again JJ got clattered on the edge of the box, ignored. One of their players kept the ball in play with a hand when he was on the ground, there was a deliberate obstruction when we were attacking and from both teams the usual wrestling matches at every corner. Either way .. hand held up high directing the ball from its path, IMO no mitigating circumstances.
  11. No, too far away in melee of players I suppose ? When was it ? In the same incident ? There was another shout during the game that with rose tinted specs looked a pen but in all honesty there’s no way I could see or judge with any integrity
  12. If my memory is correct Dom asked him, if with hindsight he should have rotated some players. He said if he was a manager with active hindsight he’d be in the “ducking” champions league. It was casual, quiet and without rancour, just a slip of the tongue into everyday vernacular. Just a “well maybe” but it easy to say after the event.
  13. I was 70 yards away in the east stand and even I saw the desperate and deliberate raised hand. 100% peno.
  14. With better officiating we might have got a point but that doesn’t detract from Peterborough who were easily the best footballing side to visit us this season. Some great interplay on the right flank throughout the game, they worked in groups with skill and eager athleticism. I was also impressed by their lack of gamesmanship. Both teams stood up most of the time and played like men. If I wasn’t a Ram that would have been a great advert for football. Effort, pace and skill from both sides. Our older legs exposed our weaknesses but not for want of effort or desire. Warne was right to introduce younger legs at HT he saw what we all saw but it wasn’t quite enough. Yes there were some defensive errors but in many ways it was more Peterborough’s attacking flair than any gross errors or lack of ability on our part. Have to take this on the chin. We are in a strong 4th place with half the season to play. It’s no disaster. All the players can hold their heads high in my opinion. My choices for our standouts. Cash, excellent again but he was up against some serious pace and got stretched and forced in to errors more than once, but his ability to simply do old fashioned well timed clear tackles is top drawer Wilson was exceptional , his strength, speed and tenacity to keep or win the ball 1 V 1 was exemplary. He worked his man time and time again and came out on top in duals with ease. He’s growing in stature and in reading the game. Collins. For a man of his age to run like he did, score 2 goals and on occasions reveal deft one touch lay offs, he deserves an MOTM. He isn’t a deadly rapier of a striker that we all dream of but he is a consistent trooper with skills that aren’t always recognised. Half way point in season and 10 league goals ? Not bad you know.
  15. Knackered when your 23 is a lot different than knackered when your 33 I’d want him on the pitch. He’s got fire in his guts that one.
  16. She’s secret agent. Her name is Sister ….. B4’s sister

    Pro Warne

Funny how everyone’s opinions differ. I find his interview style both interesting and quirkily amusing. The unspoken slant of your The team is doing well so that helps Warne made me chuckle. So when it goes wrong does that mean it’s not all Warne’s fault ? (something that crops up with regularity from the anti brigade. Anyway I’m with those who aren’t in any camp, except the one that wants to sack managers after 2 poor results and has the patience of a four year old.
  18. Yes, spot on. They aren’t world beating aces but they have champagne moments that change games. It is so sad when you think about Jordan Ibe, for him personally of course, but selfishly he could have been a cult hero for us.
  19. I remember his first game. Huge effort and pace to go with it. Looked so very raw and head down running but had a decent touch. Hindsight is a wonderful thing but I was very pleased especially after the disappointment of losing Knighty. I can’t remember which manager it was, Fergie maybe ? when he talked about coaching pace - “you can’t” he’s got a natural focussed aggression to go with it. No player in this league will fancy facing up against him. Crowds (me included) need out of the seat players. He has become one for us and it feels good.
  20. Loved all the goals. Tommo’s. Great deliver, perfectly timed run, class finish. Someone has just posted a pic of a young Archie Gemmil, strikingly similar. There is something in the air at the moment and it’s a bit special. Win on Monday anyone ? Fozzy clean as a whistle, back post copybook Cash, that boy has the power
  21. I’m just thinking .. If I was Cashin it would have to be one heck of an offer to tempt me away. He must be feeling on top of the world after that.
  22. Your just trying to fill column inches
