How does that square with Adams being in negotiations for months before signing and Bird being signed by Bristol City yesterday?? We heard nothing from BT about either did we? How did he not hear about both of these, Adams in particular , if he is genuinely ITK? You believe what you like, I see his comments, along with Simmo, as just a bit of fun. Anyway, the fun is over now until the end of August 😉

I am not Warney’s biggest fan but he finds himself in a difficult situation. With Collins our only fit striker and limited funds available, what is he supposed to do? Either Smith or Gregory could do a reasonable job in the short-term to fill the void and hopefully help get the goals that might get us up.

The 2 mill figure is just conjecture, need to wait and see what the fee is…

We need to get out of this division, some shortism to help us achieve our long-term aims might be required. The financial gap between the Championship and League 1 is going to get bigger.

We need to get a striker in to get us out of this division. Smith could be a short-term option, proven at this level, to help us achieve that. I actually like what I have seen of him. A young, promising player might not.
